Cause he got a dumb, lucky bounce to send it to OT

The salt in this thread

This kid is incredible. Yeah the celly failed, but he didn't know his foot was on the line at the time you can't blame him. Calling him the new Reggie is a bit of a stretch, but Hali's heroics in these playoffs have been top tier.

He’s a cornball. How many times do you think he practiced that choking sign in front of the mirror before the game?

Dude, your Jokic hate is almost a disease at this point. Do you seriously think Denver would not have made it back to back eastern conference finals with the weakened competition that the Pacers faced 2 years in a row?

If you say no, you are either a troll, super biased or don't really know basketball.

He's def up there for most cringe. Guy was so desperate to put up the choke sign when tying a game (thinking he won it).

I felt he had Robinson on his heels and could have had an easy pullup middy, or step back middy at worst. Instead runs back to the 3pt line. Today's NBA. It HAS to be a 3.
It reminded me of the old NBA Live games where you run away from the basket and hit the 'shoot' button and the player jumps and spins at the same time to shoot.

I love this kid. The fact that he has y'all so hurt for winning is pure bliss, I guess it comes with the territory.

I don't like the way he carries himself. He rubs me the wrong way. That choke thing was so unnecessary. They could have lost the game in OT. They can still lose the series.
It's game 1. Show some class dude.
His father was even worse at the Bucks series.
I mean, calm the **** down. That's the reason people hating on the guy although he's a great point guard. Do you need this for your career going forward? I don't know.
He has great clutch plays though and this must be respected.

You sound like a lame whiny hater. Booooo! Booooo! You got lucky and got a title last year when Pacers were hurt. You don't have to be a hater now.

I have 18 banners sweetheart.
And i haven't lost to the Pacers.
So i don't have to be "hater" against a guy that hasn't beat me.
Go to sleep now, you're obviously tired.

It took some swagger to go back to the 3 point line there for sure. Hes super confident on those top of the key game winners right now. Agree he definitely had a midrange there or could've tried going all the way for the layup. Nesmiths run there at the end was unbelievable. The Pacers making these comebacks is unprecedented.

More so his personality, I mean it's hard to root for someone that's clearly a d***.

Haliburton actually had a really meh game for the first 47:30. Nesmith was the hero last night.

How is he a dick? He goes out there and plays ball. Yes, he's taunting, but he's hitting timely shots.

Tauting after a big shot doesn't make you a dick.

Don't really have a dog in this fight Im pulling for Knicks to come thru. We can complain about Haliburton choke sign all we want but nba needs those kind of memorable moments especially in the playoffs. The product has become stale bc of too many bland vanilla personalities.. we need more players that can inject some personality excitement into the game.

Haliburton throwing a ole homage to Reggie in the garden in game 1 is gonna age well or he's gonna look stupid when Knicks come back to win the series and im here for it.

No, Denver wouldnt of beaten even the weakened Cavs. It’s about matchups.

Also i don’t think Jokic has beaten the Knicks in the Brunson era.

Yeah Brunson v Hali is a real heavyweight brawl

I don't got how people think his celebration choke sign was a fail even with his foot was on the line. It doesn't erase the fact that he help spearhead a 20-9 run to finish the game and force OT. That's the definition of a choke job, especially at home in MSG nonetheless.

Obviously Nesmith 5 threes and those clutch FTs were the reason why they even had a chance but Hali chipped in a three himself, assisted Aaron on one of those triples and obviously tied the game to force OT. He had his hands all over overtime as well with at that massive layup that probably should have been an and1 over Hart and then those two beautiful passes to Nembhard for his triple and layup.
