beasley was always so high that he could have played an orange traffic cone or a dancing koala juggling plates and genuinely believed it was lebron.

IMO, Kawhi Leonard is the best one on one player with his offensive and defensive skills. He doesn’t waste any energy on offense, and though he’s not quite the same defender, he’s still a force.

What if you play make it take it? Beasley gets hot, makes a bunch of shots, and wins in a “blowout.” Seems plausible that it happened once, especially if they played a bunch of games.

Beasley doesn’t get to start with the ball every time. IMO, NBA players aren’t nearly impossible to stop one on one, so defense is more important in that setting. Heck, I don’t think Beasley enjoys post defense against Chris Bosh or even a broken down Greg Oden. If those big men get the ball first, it could be over for Beasley rather quickly.

Sure I believe it. Beasley is very skilled and has good size.

LeBron is not really known for being an iso scorer.

1v1 doesnt matter to lebron. he mightve lost but he wasnt going all out. if you could force all players to give 100%, i'm sure lebron is one of the best two-way 1v1 players. his go-to move would be bully ball drives to the rim.

Yes absolutely. Beasley was an elite scorer. And when it comes to defense why would LeBron play all out in an exhibition

If there was a video, Lebron would have had it confiscated...

These narratives are comical. Beasley was a good baller 1v1 and 5v5. He had moments of extreme success in the team environment. Mentally he was struggling. He also want allowed to play his natural position. Overall it's a shame but I believe the story. Beas was a phenom and so is LeBron but overall LeBron is consistent, mentally focused and plays on both ends. He is a general.

There are a lot of players in the nba that could beat LeBron in a random 1 v 1 pick up game.

It's quite possible, but practice is practice.

In MMA/Boxing it's also common for some unknown fighter to beat another star in a sparring session.

In high-performance sport, everyone can have a good/bad day.

This. Playing NBA 5x5 ball is a whole different game. You're either going to be a 1st or 2nd option or fill one of the many specific roles that teams have. Some consider Beasley a scrub or a bust, but he simply never found his niche and never found out how to be efficient. It happens to a lot of players.

Lance Stephenson's particular NBA role was with the Pacers. That's where he looked like a bonafide 6th man. He wasn't suitable in any other role on any other team. Curry is arguably one of the easiest superstars to play alongside. Yet Kuminga is unplayable on Curry's team, while he looks like a solid NBA contributor without him.

Some guys never find their spot, despite having all of the tools and being just as good or better than other NBA guys.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

That wouldn't be inaccurate. It's actually very interesting how so many people have this idea that weed is just this sort of benign thing that has a pretty narrow range of effects when used. Many people seem to not realize that weed can cause a pretty wide range of effects on different people and can have a pretty wide range of dependence/addiction potential.

Hallucinations is something that can happen from weed use, and that can depend on strength and on the brain chemistry and proneness to psychosis of the individual.
