I don't get it, why are we supposed to make something out of a player playing basketball in a place he has ties to during the off season?

Because he 'wants attention' or something ~ haters.

He absolutely courts speculation and rumor mongering lol. I’m not sure it’s an ego thing, a business thing, or keeping his team on their toes thing, but he definitely throws out little breadcrumbs to stir the pot when he’s a little uneasy about the situation, which was the reason for that weird ass statement from Rich Paul after opting in.

Ok so now that we are comfortable that this situation is likely not courting speculation we need to backtrack onto something else?

I get he throws out breadcrumbs and is often very controlled with his media wording. Yes he has a big ego (like that's solely unique to Lebron right?)

What makes him often seem 'worse' is the hate he gets for everything he does.

Who is backtracking lol? I don’t think a photo of LeBron practicing with at the Cavs facility after Rich Paul released a statement about them “monitoring” the situation and not being totally comfortable with the direction is a coincidence at all. I think it’s very calculated.

I don’t really care either way, he should do what he feels is best for him, but acting like he’s just oblivious and he does this all the time is hilarious. It won’t hurt your rep as a LeBron fan if you don’t defend petty stuff like this.

I mean if switching teams and leading them to titles with all new rosters/hc is so easy to do then what stopped MJ from doing it in 98? He was so scared of trying it that he retired rather than even try to do it. Why? Because he was too scared to tarnish his carefully manicured legacy and didn't wanna play without the Phil/Scottie safety blanket. Just like when he knew he was running low on energy or drive he retired in 93. MJ just chose to retire yet again when things didn't seem perfect to him. That's a reality that you just refuse to acknowledge because you place him on such a pedestal.

Guys like Jordan, Duncan, Russell and Magic built dynasties with their organization. Why would they switch teams? As far as Jordan goes, he was so worried about his legacy he played for the superteam Washington Wizards lol

Just guessing here but i dont think he wants to play in LA anymore. Reading articles that you guys can read too he apparently doesnt like playing with Luka (prolly cause they are both ball dominant). We will see but i wouldnt be surprised if he played elsewhere at some point next season.

Players have access to other teams’ practice facilities in the off season. Went home and used the nearest nba level facility. Nothing burger

Green font? LeBron was 25 years old 15 years ago. Is it really surprising that he was in better shape then than he is now at 40? Being a gym rat doesn’t cancel out the effects of aging.

You didn't address what I said at all here. Duncan played until he was like 40 without any retirements. Russell played to 35 when 35 was really old and was in decline. So those are not apt comparisons. When MJ came back at 38/39 there were no real expectations for him to do anything on the Wizards other than maybe get them into the playoffs. That's very different from if the 35 yr old version who was reigning mvp/fmvp had switched teams. MJ knew that playing without Phil and Scottie would be too hard and so just quit. Which is his right but you can't sit there act like its some kind of given he could have switched teams like LeBron did and just kept winning year after year.

I'm sure it affects explosiveness, stamina and general athletic performance, but at 40 it shouldn't really affect his body composition, no? Especially since he's maintained his diet and training routine (presumably) that whole time. I mean he's still 'ripped' compared to the general population, and maybe even most NBA players, but he used to be absolutely jacked before.
