Oh yeah, his reach is insane. His ability to contest while flat-footed is nuts, but it's also in the horizontal distance he can cover. I will never forget watching him block a three while starting from the foul line. Man was inside the circle and still got out there mostly on length to block the shot. Insanity.

What do you think is the ideal prototype to guard him?

I would guess it's a 6'9 long forward built like Achiuwa because finding a 7 footer who can move as well as Wemby is a unicorn in their own right.

This was one of the reasons I wasn't interested in Rocco Zikarsky at the draft. He's a project but a 7'3 guy who can move well could give us an edge when we make a finals appearance. I would also put Chomche in the mix (after several years of development) but it seems like his career is over.

Enough wingspan to contest his jumper, strong with a low center of gravity to bother Victor and move him out of position - though you kinda need the ref to swallow the whistle for that to really work.

That would explain the irrationally high number of Yes votes. That or mind altering substances.

Yeah, basically the whistle Caruso was getting against Jokic, but then also you need to be at least 6'10+ feet tall with a strong body and lots of mobility. You need to get into him and frustrate his quickness. He is quick with great stride length, but he lacks a lot of power. So you need to body him and be quick enough to stay with him.

And then sometimes, it still won't matter. But, like, some nights he's still just going to capably shoot over you. He has 3pt range. He has a handle. He's going to be difficult to guard for literally anyone, so it's all about just making it more difficult for him and having the team help out.
