Do you think Joe Dumars could be fired after only a few months at this job?

Putting the 2000 Piston squad was amazing(or just luck) followed by terrible moves afterwards with the pistons and now the Pelicans.

He likely had really good people around him at first. Those people get poached when you have success. The people that replaced them werent as good and Joe may have believed his press clippings and felt he dint need to listen to them.

From the Wiretap:
New Orleans Pelicans owner Gayle Benson has delegated the decision on head coach Willie Green's future to executive vice president Joe Dumars. Benson expressed disappointment with the team's performance but affirmed her confidence in Dumars to assess the basketball operation, according to an interview with The Times-Picayune.

Pelicans owner better undergoes a brain scan.

I'm feeling so sorry for Pels fans.

Most likely scenario that happened

I also didn't realize they gave the Pacer's back their first and Indiana is going to be in the lottery.

Really they should have just traded Zion all along. He just can't stay healthy and they keep doubling down on it by trading everyone else but him. The Pelicans have some nice support guys honestly. Its just worthless when your main player isn't playing most of the time.

Zion just need a fresh change of scenery on a playoff team that already has a PF who plays full time and let Zion come in and own in the playoffs type thing. The problem of course is who would pay that for that niche scenario lol

The trading of the Pacers pick was a fluke. Absolutely not on Dumas as you wouldn't think the second best team in the league would have their star player do his achillies and then let their starting C walk.

It was criminal giving Atlanta the unprotected pick.
