Why would the Pistons do that?
They have the perfect roster for what they want to do on offense...which is let Cade dribble the air of out of the ball and spread the court for Jalen Duren.
They get Zion and they will have to give up the shooting on their roster for him because their best young guys aren't shooters. They have vets for that.
Then Zion needs to handle the ball some, which takes it out of Cade's hands.
Plus Zion doesn't fit their level of maturity and playstyle. Breaking up their team so they can have Zion waddle around the court so he can only playing hard when he has the ball in his hands isn't a good look when 17-4.
It's treating the team like it's NBA2K.
This group should see what they can do in post season without any trades, especially for a player that from the outside looking in, doesn't seem to understand the professionalism required to be an elite athlete at the highest level.
A team trading for Zion, should be a team like the Celtics or the Heat. They have enough cache and leadership to provide him with structure and it is pretty much last opportunity in the league. And they have contracts that they can get rid of and an established team of vets. So all that lazy crap he does wouldn't work.
Send him to the Pistons and they won't make the playoffs.
