hornets are inconsistent... sometimes they are just absolutely monster and even very good teams have a hard time and other times they barely beat or even lose to teams they should beat.

Today was an off night for NO... peja was completely off and I think he is the biggest reason for the inconsistency... followed by West.. Paul has been the most consistent

Nice win right there for New Orleans... and their 7th straight road win! That's just impressive. A solid team game from them again too, with numerous guys being a factor down the stretch. Aside from CP3/West.

Hornets have won 10 of their last 12. West is a main reason why, he's been averaging over 20ppg, almost 10rpg, on over 50% shooting.

Peja and Mo Pete are inconsistent at times, but the play of Paul/West/Chandler is what usually dictates whether they win or lose.

Yao got fouled twice in the last 2 mins no call...led to 5 points the other way including one where Head didn't even touch Butler but got the and 1.

I didn't see much of a foul on that supposed slap on the arm by Chandler. Where the ball was stripped.

Maybe they played the wrong angle too much.

It was physical all game long, Chandler ended up fouling out as is so it isn't as if they were swallowing their whistles.

there's a difference between physicality and just letting calls go. In that situation, the call, if it occured in the 2nd quarter or if the Rockets still recovered letting it go would have been ok, but in this case, Yao ended up turning the ball over and led to a fastbreak the other way, in the crucial stretch of the game. That foul should have been called because if affected the game.

the worst thing about it was after Yao got stripped with the foul, they called a BS brush foul on the layup by Luther Head on David West at the other end. That was killer. And I have no idea wtf the Rockets were thinking letting Yao take the 3 at the end. They really need to practice end game plays to get their 3 point shooters open.

gotta agree with the Rockets fans on this one it was a terrible no-call Hornets kinda lucked out.

Not a very good game in general except Yao played well

Who goes off against the Knicks? I think Prince and/or Maxiell will. Rasheed if he plays enough and gets enough shots is also a legit possibility.

I want to see Maxiell dunk like a mad-man 30 times at MSG :). Then those boos and chants come after, would just be a wild scene.

pistons are sleep walking...
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Detroit's pulling their "whatever" act (which they can't do against Boston in the playoffs, or they're done)... didn't really think about that or them being on the end of a 4-game trip.

Even so, I still expect Detroit to win.

Great coaching job by Flip Saunders to end the half.

:nonono:

Is it possible that both organizations fire their coachs during this halftime?

Ok, i don't care how good the Pistons actually are, this performance is downright embarassing. I don't wanna see them in the top 10 of any power rankings next week. 42 points going into the fourth against the Knicks? LMAO
