What plays did the Lakers get jacked on? You can't find any.

What about when Radmonovic ran thirty steps on that dunk of his?

Just because the Lakers are soft, don't bitch and moan when they don't call fouls on your jumpshots.

There were tons. The Lakers in the first half I thought tried to get to the line but the refs weren't calling anything for them. Then in the 3rd quarter they just settled for jumpshots. At the same time Ray Allen got away with a lot on defense as did the rest of the Celtics, whereas the Lakers were getting called for petty fouls on the other end.

Also it doesn't help when you call the Lakers soft, you're just asking for a reaction from Lakers fans.

Just an opinion from a fan of both sides.

The officiating was horrendous in last night's game. Anyone who can't see that has their homer glasses on.

I'm not saying that the style of play didn't result in the free throw discrepancy, but the refs definitely had a hand in it.

the problem here is CONSISTENCY...

as a laker fan i have been, in the last ten years, both the recipient and the victim of bad calls...

as i would expect is fairly true for most of the leagues teams...

what i am about to write is truly objective;

if the league decides that they want to interpret the NBA rulebook as such , that the teams shall be allowed to play physically, than fine PLEASE DO IT THAT WAY...

or if perhaps the league(stu jackson, et al) decides that they should call the games tighter, as in, they will adhere to rules set forth and not opt to let "illegal" physicality get out of hand, than please CALL THE GAMES THAT WAY...

what seems to be the trend, in this years playoffs, is that the referee philosphy is to be that the home teams shall get the majority of the calls one way or the other, perhaps for the home team fans' benefit...

as a laker fan, many of you will immediately discredit my "whining" about officiating , but those of you who think that the refs gave us that series against Sacramento so long ago, also are NOT taking into account the FACT that every time shaq would get the ball, he would literally have 2 or three people LITERALLY hanging off of his body....

so perhaps things balanced out, perhaps not, i guess it could be subjective, depending on your allegances....

but again INCONSISTENCY is the name of the game...

all season, from a laker standpoint, they have won their games, and had success in part to the penalties being called by a certain standard, in the first two games of the finals, the games are being called by a different standard...

does it all matter in the end? maybe perhaps boston is the better team, i have no problem admitting that, it doesnt bother me, they have three great players, and some solid role guys....

but this is a problem, outside of these two teams and this series...

if i wasked asked what the solution should be , i wouldnt know, except perhaps it is time to just re-write the rules, make them clear and concise, and then there wont be any questions...and i think stern needs to do this, because as jazzfan will(and has) reminded us lakerfan , it could go against your team too.

There were several instances where either Gasol or Kobe complained about the calls. They easily could have been technicals. Neither players are helping themselves with the complaining they were doing.

The only thing I have to say here is that when Jazz fans complained about fouls Laker fans responded with the fact that the Jazz foul more than any other team. You guys need to quit whining. You shot jump shots. A great defensive team in Boston has a great game plan on how to keep Kobe out of the paint...how to not foul when they defend. For years in Houston JVG always talked about that you gotta keep LeBron...you gotta keep Kobe out of the paint and not foul. Is it so hard to believe that his once top assistant in Tibs has that game plan in place? The Lakers took jumpers. You want calls? Be aggressive.

I don't think there was a conspiracy, I just think you guys got the benefit of the doubt to ridicolous amounts which will hopefully even out once the venue shifts to LA, and I expect it will.

3rd qt 3 minutes left Kobe drives to the hole on both PP ...K.G and Posey Yanks Kobes right arm and Kobe had to shoot with his left hand and EVEN made he shot.
The tech call Kobe got when you can clearly see PP grabbing Kobes arm and Kobe lashed out at the reffs for the first time and got called for a Tech.
Rondos block on Rad , he did hit his hand on the release....LOLLLL

Na you need to STFU with your disrespecting A55.
You got no reason to be here, what you need to do is post threads on the trade board to make your sorry team better.
Never mind the Big boys . You know the teams in the Finals.
Were still in this while you and your fans are still crying about the foul on Jordan when he abused Russell in the FINALS.............LOLLL

I'd like to see a video of that..I didn't think Kobe got fouled on either of the plays Montana mentioned..I could be wrong obviously, but I didn't think I saw fouls there..

it sounds like you don't like the lakers, if it were any other team the fans would be outraged at the officials too

Actually I don't like the hypocrisy. LA fans have no problem acting smug and saying "Hey, we won fair and square" even when the league office admits a critical call was bogus. Now they're all crying and complaining when they lose two in a row because the officiating was bad? Give me a break. It's not about hating LA, it's about hating the double standard. If you change the name and the logo to the Memphis Grizzlies I'd be saying the exact same thing.

I'll be the first to admit I'm a Celtic fan. That will completely invalidate this in many people's eyes. But if the C's go to LA and lose all three games, look around on this board and see if I'm anywhere saying "oh boo hoo, the C's got screwed, they would have won except for the giant David Stern conspiracy that wants the Lakers to win the title." You won't find me, cause that's an excuse for losers.

This is the finals. I'll take it when my team wins, and I'll say we gotta play better when they lose. Anything less is childish hypocrisy, and that **** pisses me off, no matter who says it.
