I'd like the deal from your standpoint. We'd also be treated to another one of Iggy's Twitter's about the 76'ers getting another shooter. :D

Also it would be handing the keys over to Speights, and give a TON of PT.

You guys could role with:

PG: Miller/2009 Pick
SG: Redd/Kapono/Green
SF: Iggy/Young
PF: Brand/FA
C: Speights/Smith

Though you may want to ask for a pick in return if you're sending Williams since both Redd and Dalembert have undesirable contract, but Redd has been injury prone the last couple of Years.

I just don't see Minnesota wanting to have the #5,6, and 18 picks in the draft. In such a guard heavy draft I don't see them wanting three players with such similar skill sets. And considering I don't think they want Hill at 5 or 6 either, and I imagine Thabeet will be gone, they will really try to move around some more.

I agree. The scenarios I see happening are:

1. Minny tries to package #5 OR #6 and #18 to move into the Top 4.

2. Minny stands pat with #5 and #6, and Drafts something like Evans and Harden, or Curry and Derzoan...or any combination of those 4 Players to give them a dynamic new Backcourt to go along with their equally dynamic and young Frontcourt...and Draft a SF at #18 or look at SF in trades, or at next Year's Draft. They most likely will IMO trade #18+Player for assets they can use though.

As for Miller I truely believe he's gone whether it's in the form of S&T or just leaving so subtract him from your plans and we have no starting PG now esp since Williams would have been traded- so it would be wise to either sign a vet PG or trade for one - The jury is also still out on if Speights can play the 5 - Brand might start there - with thad at the 4 -so with Redd the lineups could be

1 - vet pg/ 2009 draft pick / 3rd string vet PG
2 - Redd/ green / possible 2009 pick if a second rounder is bought
3 - Iggy/Kapono / thad
4 - Thad/ Speights / smith
5 - Brand/ Smith / Speights / vet center

IMO this is better than last season

Redd injury history is concerning and may prevent the trade from happening

Also Minn made a badass move in getting that pick and may turn out to be the best move for them in the last few years - Theyll package both picks for the #2 and a player and draft rubio

Here's another slight rumor that just came up

talks with Dallas

Dalembert for Dampier straight up

or

Dalembert/Green/2nd next year for Dampier/Carroll/#22

Dampier has 2 years left the 2nd which is nonguaranteed
Carroll has 4 flipping years left on his contract but was front loaded and looks like:

$4,700,000 $4,300,000 $3,900,000 $3,500,000

He's a pure shooter but 4 years is damn long so I would rather do the straight up trade - I hate sammys guts and would rather have Dampy and his expiring contract than Nazr - Dampier is a better player anyway although is still a bum but a bum who could start IMO

Also these rumors are not from me and are from a Sixers insider whom this belongs to and whom I thank for passing along

Sounds good, but with so few suitors with Cap Space this Off-Season you may just get to retain him. Where Hedu and Gordon go will let the dominoes fall.

Yea thats true but I think he's playing not for a paycheck but for a championship - I dont blame him at all he's at the end of his career - he was a true professional, gave it his all and helped develop our younger guys - best of luck to him - he's a west coast guy anyhow

Does anyone know if the draft will be on the radio? I don't have cable or Internet at home, unfortunately. I'm assuming it'll be on ESPN Radio, but I'd like to make sure. Also if it is on the radio, can someone here who's listened to it in the past tell me how it goes down? Do they broadcast the picks live, as Stern is announcing them?

Yes ESPN Radio is covering the Draft. They basically do exactly what you see on TV except on the Radio. They announce the Picks, Trades, and Rumors as it comes across to them.

And Picks updated on the 1st Post.

Also my take on the Portland/Mavs Trade:

Well, Sacramento is widely considered to be targeting a PG with the 23rd pick. Makes sense for Portland to leapfrog them if they are targeting the same guy....

Is the sock puppet of Stephen A. Smith going to be at the draft? lol, that stuff always made me laugh.
