Reminds me of a situation we had on my team last year. Had Mario Boggan coming into camp who had said he was back to his college weight and out running on the track every day. Yet he gets off the plane, weighs about 30 pounds heavier than he described, and couldn't make it through the first week of two a days due to poor conditioning.
OMG mario Boggan was 30 lbs overweight ?! Wait.. who?

I like him as a prospect, but his weight/strength is much more of a concern for me then his height. He was already long as hell in the first place.

Isn't this the kid that is always holding back tears on the sideline?

He's going to be a constant injury risk if he stays this skinny.

He's more of a wirey strong type of build. Like KG/Bosh.
Cracked Fingers wrote:Isn't this the kid that is always holding back tears on the sideline?
No, his face just always looks like he's sad. People that aren't used to him tend to think he's crying.

These types of expectations made Clippers fans hate Lamar Odom when he didn't live up to them. Randolph could end up the same, as a very talented all around player that isn't a superstar.
Lamar Odom has no heart. At least Randolph showed that he has a ton of intensity on the court, that's what Warriors fans love about him. That KG fire. If he never showed that type of emotion then we wouldn't be liking him as much as we currently do. And he has a lot of work ethic as well, Nellie taught him to be humble and to show humility by benching him most of the season since he was too young and wild.

No. The person who made that "Anthony Randolph is the next Magic Johnson" thread was obviously just joking around, that's the poster's reputation and us Warriors fans learned not to take him seriously. We only contributed to that thread because we feel Randolph has guard skills, but obviously will never be near Magic status. It will be a very long time before we see another Magic, the only person close to him right now is LeBron. And btw, Tskershkin contributed in that thread too and he's one of those most knowledgeable and respected posters on RealGM.

Randolph pulls up for a jumper that bricks.

its a block but still the same thing
Yeah, Randolph was only 19 but he shows a ton of potential.

He'll start off at power forward, but due to his versatility and athleticism he's most likely going to move down to the small forward position by the end of the season. I see Brandan Wright as the power forward for Golden State, he still hasn't had a chance to shine because of injuries.

I think if he can smoothen up the jumper he is a bigger threat @ SF.

Yeah, but he weighs alright for a person playing the small forward position. I can understand a skinny center being bad, but Randolph's size is suitable for his game right now. His length and athleticism will help him on defense.

No, Chris Bosh has a better post game than AR4 and Randolph barely got minutes last year. Maybe in a year or two he'll be better, but right now Randolph is still raw and needs some experience.

You're really taking yourself a tad too seriously.
For all you kmow this guy is the next Bender, or even an in between of what the two sides are predicting, like a Camby with handle.
You sit here and say it like it's fact that he will be better then Bosh and yadda, yadda.

I saw him some last year on NBA LP, and he's still a very raw player. -- He's got a LOT of work to do on the court and off of it in terms of basketball before he becomes anything remotely close to a star player, let alone a superster. -- Re: whomever stated he's going to bust out this year.

I just can't believe the Warriors got rid of Rob Kurz.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=668y_fKBYjY
Rob's easily going to be one of the best shooters in the NBA. He'll end up being one of the best 7th-8th men in the league and those type of players are taken for granted. He'd make a great addition for a team looking to add some depth and versatility to their bench. For a team that has a great starting 5 and a good 6th man, Kurz can be put in later in games to keep the offense flowing smoothly while key players get some rest on the bench.

AK47 when he was on and good, was a excellent shooter from range.
