Fine, I'll believe Pierce because he's a player and they usually they compete no matter what. But you honestly think that Kidd was not trying to tank that game? Of course if Pierce was on the floor, he would not have held anything back. But Kidd made sure that he maximized their chances of losing by benching ALL the starters. Poor and disgraceful move from Kidd, made himself and his own team look bad.

I think Kidd prioritized rest over seeding. After all, he wasn't in control of who the Nets were going to face, because had Bulls won against the Bobcats, we would be facing them instead.

I think a rotation of Amir/ Patterson at the 4 will hold it down and Toronto will bang it in the post a LOT more. Amir has been out and you better believe he's going to be 100% or close with the ankle. He dies for the city and will be in top shape. Everyone is overlooking him at this point.

Nets are better off starting Blatche and having a Pierce-Johnson-Williams rotation. Maybe start KG.

That said be prepared because the North Side be wilding. Everyone of my friends and their friends are hyped. Its the talk of the city.

KG does start.

And I think PP needs to start the series at PF and see how it goes.
Amir did not have a good regular season against the Nets, while PP probably had his best set of games against the Raptors.

I don't like Blatche starting though. He's a bone-head, poor defensively and loses focus with big minutes. Plumlee or AK should get the start if they need to go big.

I think the Nets will be prepared for game 1. That is where the veteran edge comes in. I know Raptors will come pumped, but they might be anxious and too pumped in game 1.. as in too aggressive with their play or their shots rushed or too strong.

I expect a close game 1 and wouldn't be surprised if BK pulls off the upset in game 1, but I expect a TO blowout in game 2.

All this tanking talk is silly. Sure they get Toronto in the first round but then they get Miami. This is the hard path to the ECF.

Sadly I'm predicting Nets in six. I know it seems cliche but we just don't have the experience of the Nets squad. I'm expecting a smidgen of crunch time meltdowns to go along with some atrocious refereeing. It's going to be a depressing series. God I hope I'm wrong.
