Continue to ignore his injuries that would take him out for multiple weeks to months in the regular season.

Also you not addressing the ducking stuff, makes it clear to me that it was such a bs conspiracy that people on here and social media tried to drum up.

At least we can stop pretending Tatum is in the real elite tier. He's a very good player but he's not realistically in this conversation.

I mean he’s not on the Jokic/Giannis tier but let’s not forget he dropped 46 in an elimination game in Milwaukee & then 50 in a game 7 last year.

Oh he's very good and his style of play means he will have those sorts of games when he gets hot. But too many of these sorts of games too (which happens when you settle for jumpers too much).

Huge game on prime time for Jokic to break the Boston 20-0 streak.

It's about the narrative that he's ducking good teams.

How is that related to being the MVP (a REGULAR season award) for THIS SEASON? You must be confused with the theme of this thread???
#whataboutism

A better argument would be showing the players with better or the same stats against teams with top 4 defence.

This thread last year was full of hubris that Jokic couldn't win it three times in a row without playoff success. Don't pull the "it's a regular season award" garbage now.

It's like the refs are being held hostage or something.

There has to be some explanation we aren't seeing.

There is no way referees could be fooled by this stuff for 82 games a season.

Absolutely no way.

There's got to be something else going on.

The same people picking apart Embiid after putting up 41 points against Jokic on a back-to-back with the Sixers winning are giving cover to Tatum in the game thread tonight. The hate is very much slung towards Embiid

Hell. We had a guy start a Maxey/Harris vs Murray/MPJ thread just to try to find another way to diminish Embiid winning the match-up.

Stole this from the game thread. You can't make this stuff up. No one in the league gets the whistle that Embiid does. He should have Wilt-like numbers on scoring every night if this is what he gets.
