Bronny and Thanasis will be an epic battle of the benches. We have never seen anything like it before probably.

You know that out of all people, I for sure got this reference
All I can say is even if Bronny does get louder and angrier, we're not giving him a time machine.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

They also had that guy, Brandon Boston I think his name is. Wasn't he bigtime prospect at one point?
He was basically waived this summer. No qualifying offer. He's gonna have to fight to stay in the league now.

Re: 2024 NBA Summer League! Las Vegas (July 12-22)
Feel horrible for Holmes. I really hope that injury doesn’t derail his career. Feels like the Achilles injury is the last type of injury that has the power to ruin a career. At least Durant came back fine and Holmes is still very young. So really hoping he can come back 100%.
I was annoyed with how espn covered Bronny back at the draft but that’s a little more understandable than doing it at summer league. I’d have to imagine more casual fans watch the draft and without a lot of top end talent, marketing lebron’s son to help people watch the draft makes more sense. The people that are watching summer league are freaks and obsessed with basketball and are more interested in someone like Reed Shepard. Or any other of the first round picks. It’s like ESPN doesn’t know its audience for the events it’s covering and it’s very frustrating to watch.
Terrance Shannon looked crazy explosive. Put some dude on a poster and had a bunch of good finishes today. Him being so much older than everyone in college was kinda a red flag for me but him and Knecht really showed me that I was wrong about that.
Carrington was someone I was hoping would be still available when the Knicks drafted and thought he had a chance of being one of the better players in the draft and nearly having a triple double is insanely impressive. Especially having to play next to Johnny Davis. Theres usually not a whole lot of playmaking going on in these games cuz guys are usually trying their hardest to get as many buckets as possible to impress the coaching staffs. Nice to see bub out there dishing.
Overall pretty fun first day.

Re: 2024 NBA Summer League! Las Vegas (July 12-22)
People going on about Reed didn’t watch the game. He was fine, but it seemed like this Bronny kid was at the center of every play in the game, even when sitting on the bench. Never seen a player take over a game like that before, it was much more likely he’d be the guy the announcers were talking about on a play than not. I’m not knowledgeable enough about basketball to understand the 3D chess stuff he must have been doing on every play, it was too subtle for me, but I bow to the superior knowledge of like every broadcaster/analyst/mascot who were able to see what I was not, how he was really The Guy on like 100% of the plays when he was on the court and 85% when he was not. Reed might be good, but he’ll never be Bronny good.

Carrington played really well yesterday. And he has an open path for minutes in the talent-starved Wizards.
He, along with Cody Williams, are my picks for the steal of the draft.
Sarr had 12/4 + 4 blocks as well. Wizards FINALLY building a long term core.
What if they get one of Flagg, Traore, Harper or Bailey?

This guy gives some classic coaching rants about Bronny's summer league play against the Heat.
I'm so tired of the typical......

Jordan Miller was on a two way and is a guard that can spot at the three......not sure how PJ is a comparison, especially since Tucker hardly played himself.
Sure, the point is much worse players were in the rotation. I’m aware Miller isn’t a big. It’s smarter for a team to play younger two way talent like this than even someone like Bones or Powell who do nothing but volume scoring.

Miller’s IQ is very good. Boston showed flashes of good offensive talent, like a poor man’s Brandon Ingram. But he would make the dumbest decisions you can think of. The Clippers did a horrible job with developing young guys the last 5 years. They basically rot 2-4 years then end up out of the league. No point in drafting 23 and 24 year olds if they won’t be in rotation. If that’s the case you draft 18 and 19 year old’s like Cam Christie so you can waste 2-3 years.

Good nickname or nah?
Nah. Nicknames based on other players are never good, except as jokes, like "Meth Curry" for Tyler Johnson. How about another "The __________ Mamba"? FOH.
For Sheppard, I could get behind IRS or Taxman (his full name is Isaiah Reed Sheppard).
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

I think the only player I would take Bronny James over is Johnny Davis.
