You know, I know it may seem insignificant, but ESPN is missing one of the best parts of the victory celebration by not showing the players collectively cutting down the net. The microphones are also picking up some pretty funny stuff being said by some of the players.

Lol @ jt142, he kept his Euro hate on the down low for most of the tournament in fear of backfiring should the US lose, but now that Durant won, he's letting it all out.

ESPN did a terrible job handling the entirety of the tourny.

That said, Congratulations.
The expressions on these guys faces say other wise. They look like they care. There was so much doubt surround this team and they proved all of those doubters wrong.
I know these guys care and I don't mind their emotions. I'm just talking about the guys who decided to skip out because they consider WC a "lesser" event.
I at least hope USA will start treating this tournament with respect and not just overlooking. I don't care if USA wins WC, just treat it with decency. That applies to American fans as well.
In the US, all international competition is considered "lesser" than the Olympics. I don't think that is disrespectful. It is just our culture.

Grow a pair. Calm down, they weren't booing the anthem. They actually cheered at the end and when they introduced the US team. Some of you guys need to stop overreacting.

I agree. The crazy thing is that they have the capacity to show viewers who want to watch these things what's going on via ESPN3.com but they instead opt to just end the online feed forcing us to watch it over at atdhe.net or somewhere else.

killing 1 million people in iraq without a reason is worse.

Yeah not sure how to react to that
have you travelled much? There's a lot of jealousy and hate in that part of the world. It doesn't change the fact that we're better than them. Boo all you want!
You are really looking for something that is not there. They aren't booing American players or the national anthem get over yourself.
I have traveled to Turkey and the people were very friendly and extremely respectful of my culture not sure what you are talking about. The only people they didn't seem to like were Greeks.

Congrats, it was a deserved victory, a shame that many teams have been below their level.

that guy overreacting has nothing to do with US. he is armenian and tried to use this basketball ground to make some political complex show. what he says as "fact" are his opinions and one sided, biased. he's already on my ignore list. i recommend the same.
