Everyone looks at the past with rose-colored glasses. I was born in the mid 80s, and consider cartoons from the early-mid 90s far superior to anything made now. However, when I try to be objective, I realize the truth isn't exactly such.

These posters often think the same way when thinking of basketball. The worst thing is it's too hard to recognize your own bias towards the past sometimes. To this day, I struggle with it. However the worst thing about it is when you think/act this way is you often miss out on the greatness in front of you, since you're always trying to put it down by thinking of the past.

damn i could not have said it any better. this logic applies to so much in life..sports being one of them

Dirk's jumpshot is a thing of pure beauty. A 7-foot guy with his smoothness with a basketball is just ridiculous. For some reason, I was expecting them to show clips of Durant and Kobe pulling off the same one legged fadeaway, playing off the "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" thing. Btw, those MacFarlane toys look NOTHING like their real life counterparts. Never understood why people liked them.

Am pretty sure if anyone comes up chasing you and uses 2 hands like a fist smacking your chin unexpectedly am highly sure you'd have some sort of reaction out of it then to say it's a flop.
