However how many shooting guards around 6 feet tall have ever become superstars?

Kemba Walker / Kyle Lowry type player is what Mitchell will become.

2 things:

Mitchell has a longer than average wing span, which is more important than heigth.

Also, I think he will be the future PG for Utah. He can create for others when he needs to, but Utah's offense doesn't run through a primary ball handler most of the time, so it doesn't really matter.

On the offensive end, there's no reason why Mitchell won't play PG. Defensively, Utah has made a point of looking for length at every position. Even though Mitchell is fine at SG with his wing span, he has a bigger advantage defending PGs.

As long as Rubio is in Utah, DM will most likely play the 2, but I think he's just as likely to play PG in the future.

Scoring wise Mitchell is fine. I question if he has the natural vision and passing to be a full time point guard.

Josh Jackson finally looking solid this month. Outside that 0-13, 0-6 3 game he has been putting up around 16/6/2 on 50/38/75 with above average defense.

He finally seems to be hitting that 3pter and stroke looks a lot better. The quickness of his feet on defense and lateral movements are top tier.

If he can keep trending this way he will be a very good player.

New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

He will never be a full time pg with that kind of tunnel vision of Lavine. Can he be a facilitator like Harden dishing out 10 assists every game? That will determine if he can be a superstar or not. Right now he is nothing but a volume scorer like Booker.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Watching him in Kansas....you can tell he's a late bloomer. Dude has a bright future.

Looks like Tatum is off the rookie wall now having played well in 4 of his last 5 games.

Career high in shot attempts and points tonight scoring 27 on 11-19 shooting without Kyrie.

Dmitch is just throttling the Suns right now. 26pts/5ast/2reb/1stl on 9-11 shooting and 5-6 from the 3pt line. :o

Lakers other rookie:

Hart with 15 points and 14 rebounds as a starter over Ennis in our 20th win of the season over Nets.

Not Yo Ham Lakers!

It's funny Simmons had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a block (0 turnovers) and probably had the third best rookie game tonight.

I love how we all come here after every game to advertise our rookies.. Like it will have any effect.

But, seriously, I do love how we do it!

3 steals. :P

Edit: hmm, nevermind. Looks like they took one away from him. It was 3 in the box score earlier, but its been changed to 2.

I would have liked to brag/advertise more, but Mitchell and Tatum had the better nights for clarification, which is what I meant by third best.

 So in other words, you know very little about this player, but wanted to comment anyway.

Noted.

Or possible even fourth.

Josh Hart had 15 points on 8 shots (.768 ts%), 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 0 turnovers, and two key plays down the stretch to help seal the 3-point Laker win
