Raptors are playing with house money as far as I'm concerned. NO ONE, not even optomistic Raptors fans thought we would be this good in a teardown / rebuild year. We've had a great season considering behind Siakam's revival, Gary Trent jr coming of age, Barnes and Achiuwa developing way beyond expectations.

Anything more is just gravy and I don't think there's pressure on our side as long as we put up a good fight. We lose and it was still a super promising season.

Sixers on the other hand with the whole Simmons drama, 2 players who we thought would be MVP candidates and one of them due of a gigantic contract in the off season? All eyes on them.

Best of luck

Zach Lowe on James Harden:

“I did the deep dive. Harden’s 4th quarter numbers, in big games, in elimination games, in 2-2 series games, are bad. His crunchtime numbers are bad. Most of his best playoff games are when his team is up 3-0, down 3-0, up 3-1, down 3-1. I watched all of his field goal attempts in the 4th quarters of his postseason career, a lot of his crunchtime baskets are like “Oh GS is up 8, we’ll concede a layup so you don’t get a 3,” and Harden inflates his crunchtime field goal % from zero to something better than zero with essentially a conceded layup.” - Zach Lowe, The Lowe Post Podcast.

How good would Philly be if Morrrey had of gotten Siakam, Van Vleet and Scottie Barnes for Simmons like he asked for instead of Harden

Tell me how those superstars have fared against the Raptors in the past. That is the illusion of todays' game is that superstars win.
Give me a "team" that plays together and is well coached and they will prevail. But ignore the fact that FVV and Siakim are playing at an all star level also.

Ask the Lakers and the Clippers how the superstar thing is working out.

See, Wolfgang630?

That’s how Raptors fans make their predictions about this series. Most of the Raptors fans predict they will win.

So yeah, no excuses for then, considering Raptors are healthy.

..and the Sixers are healthy..higher seed..so no excuses right?

(Oh...and Thybulle being a moron is not a injury)

Of course not.
Only losing Embiid to injury can be an excuse.

Other then that, if we lose, we suck, Doc is gone.

Raptors were never even considering trading Pascal or Barnes for Simmons, let alone multiple starters... :noway:

Why would Masai even entertain such a ludicrous proposal? Each of those players alone is more valuable than Simmons.

Simmons is 6'11 Bruce Bowen but without the shot.

Wait, what ? Who is saying it’ll be easy? Even optimistic raps fans are saying “raps in 6” what are you talking about ? Show me some serious posts, where someone sincerely says they think the raps will EASILY beat the 6ers”..

also … I love that someone called you out on your “I believe in Defense,” in one thread, and “I believe in Star power “ in this thread .. you definitely didn’t think someone would notice your contradictory stances ! Lol … I love it … good job, Los

It’s not really contradictory at all, Nets have no semblance of defense while Boston has the best defence in the NBA. Philly has the best defensive player in our series so it’s not even comparable.

I tried to explain it as simple as possible for you, I hope it’s easy enough for you to understand it !

This is laughable.

That has been kinda the general Raptors fan MO so far. Incredibly intense discussions like 'Sixers are weak for these 12 reasons! we're just the better overall team!' and then also 'relax everyone, here are 12 chill reasons why we don't care if we lose.' Records are similar, Raptors closed the season better, Nurse is Nurse and Doc is Doc, Siakam's playing great, odds aren't that great for the Sixers, etc. Make the leap Raptors fans, just say 'we can beat you and we're gonna believe in that, let's strap in.'
