It's been too long since the last time we won the Fiba World Championship.

Congrats to this team for taking every opponent seriously and winning this thing with class.

The Americans back home appreciate your display.

Talk about lacking basic reading comprehension! What hate??? I'm pointing out how disrespectful it is to make jeers during a country's national anthem. It's a classless display by the Turks. If the shoe was on the other foot, I'm sure you'd be asking for an apology from the president. Instead of being an apologist, you should admit that it was a classless display that should never happen again. Have a good day!

I still think it was disrespectful. Nuff said. It's over.

It was the same when Turkey played in Greece .. in soccer it's some kind of ridiculous rivalry. But things have been getting better lately and the basketball match between the two nations in the group stage was fair.

It's the same for ex-Yugoslavia nations.

It's just a never ending cycle ...
For example, first you have a game in country A. Even if most of the fans try being silent, you have a few bad apples booing and whistling, then a few others join, because of the classic sheep affect.
>>> (2nd game) Then, the fans of country B see/hear it on TV, and surely they return the favor the next time they meet in country B.
>>> (3rd game) We're back in country A. The heavy booing in previous game angered even the ones that were silent in game 1 ... >>> booing is even louder.

>>>>>>>>>>
... never ending cycle!
(it does get better and better, though ... maybe in a few decades it'll be gone ;))

Btw., Durant is a sicko!

And Odom is actually good when it matters ... when winning the game is more important than random candy, that is. ;) But only the really important games fall into that category! :P

That's the only reason why Odom joined the US team in Turkey

:droop: :droop: :droop: :droop: :droop: ;) Although, personally, I much prefer various kinds of chocolate. :) Especially Kinder products! :P (Americans won't know it, since I don't think it's sold in the US ... sadly, because they have by far the best chocolate products)

I felt the 2008 Redeem Team all played with heart and zero arrogance.
They all came to work everyday in Beijing to play for each other.
