This series result was honestly no surprise, a lot of us knew from the jump that cavs weren't making it past the 2nd round.

Almost felt like he had 1 card, played it and got game 3, then Carlisle adjusted and Atkinson just wasn't sure where to go from there.

Honestly though, his press conferences did not give a good impression of him for me either. Just didn't seem like a dude who could handle the pressure...but also...I know nothing. Just my thoughts.

Yeah we got spoiled in the regular season. I don't agree 100% with the trade Garland crowd. I'd rather get rid of Allen for the right piece. He just always shows up soft when it matters. Slide Mobley to center and get another spacing big imo

I definitely don't think ya'll should trade Garland. I'm not sure what has happened with him in previous post-seasons, seems he hasn't done great in them based off comments, but I think he was very clearly just hurt for this one.

Both fanbases hate it each time I suggest it, but I can't help thinking that there's a trade to be built around Garland and Franz Wagner that could unlock both teams as absolute monsters.

Take one for the team man. Sometimes you gotta do unfathomable things for the right outcome. :-p

Mitchell and Garland just weren't healthy enough tonight and were clearly bothered by the injuries they were playing through. Still, Mitchell's effort was, once again, almost Herculean and Garland really, really tried to tough it out. He did the best he could but playing through a turf toe as a start and stop player is no joke. It really limits your shiftiness and what you can do.

As for my Pacers, I am so **** happy for them. They really deserved this after all the **** they've heard ever since they made last year's ECF. Well, going there once more is proving that last year was no fluke. So **** happy for them and so damn proud. This has been an awesome playoffs for us. Every single starter contributed immensely to this win and everyone made huge plays down the stretch. Once again, a total team win.

No. We have everything to be embarassed about.

The Pacers won fair and square, I ain't about to use injury excuses, but the effort was absolutely pathetic for most of the night. We rested players all year for them to look this **** gassed after sweeping the first round?

Look, game 4 was indeed embarrassing. They have definitely earned the criticism for that game. But tonight? They really gave it their all, man. They just had nothing left in the tank by the end of the game.

And I will once again second what Sneaky said. Playing against this Pacers team is incredibly taxing. You know how in the end of big games, the stars will take a moment to rest and catch their breath on defense while guarding some non-shooter in the corner? Yeah, the Pacers aren't going to afford you to take those breaks. Everyone is a threat to shoot, eveyone is a threat to score and both the ball and the players in perpetual motion. And we also run. Even off of made baskets, we'll try to run. We quite simply do not let the other team catch their breath. And since Carlisle trusts 11 players, we can afford to play that way. We have the bodies to do it and to give breathers to our guys.

We're a weird team, that's for sure, but there's a method to the madness.

Garland is not a championship level guard. You don't trade Wagner for him. If you trade Wagner, it's for someone like Cade or Jalen Williams.

**** ending for the Cavs after a great regular season. Bad timing on injuries, the NBA is too competitive and athletic now to hide being 70% fit.

Cavs need to put a Holiday or White style guard next to Mitchell. Big physical guard.

There was so much talk this year how Mitchell has become willing to sacrifice his personal stats for team success, that he is content with taking fewer shots and holding the ball less and how crucial this has been for the success of the Cavs. Yet when they were challenged seriously in the playoffs it again became the Mitchell solo show with him having a sky high usage rate and taking a huge amount of shots.Yes,this was in large part due to injuries, but still, as great a scorer as he is, his teams always underperform in the playoffs while he records impressive stat lines and takes a lot of shots.

The Pacers are 8-2 in the playoffs and tonight is the first time they've had a player score more than 30 points in a game.

Garland is not a championship level guard. You don't trade Wagner for him. If you trade Wagner, it's for someone like Cade or Jalen Williams.

I disagree, I like him a lot if he can stay healthy...especially if you're surrounding him with Suggs, Black, Banchero, Carter, Isaac, Bitadze, etc...despite him being so slight. Though I do typically try to loop a KCP-Cam Johnson swap into it for the magic, while playing around on fanspo

Garland's just a really crafty playmaker and I like that he's really good as both a pull-up and C&S guy. Should make him a great partner for Banchero who can create for others or space for Paolo at an extremely high level.

You're not getting Cade for Franz and I don't think Jdub is better than Garland. Love the way that kid is defending, but Orlando's issues creating good offense would get even starker.

Congrats Pacers! Impressive domination of the top seeds albeit the injuries but the way you played you would have beaten a healthy Cavs anyway.

Looking forward to Pacers-Knicks East Finals!
