hello, have you been paying attention? dwight wanted to go to only 1 of 2 teams; the lakers or the nets. he held them hostage. harden was willing to go to any team that would be willing to pay him probably.

Which is kind of the point. They have a legit, guaranteed contender NOW. A few years down the line is an eternity in the NBA.

One player is signing an extension and didn't tell the world he wanted out, where as the other is going to explore free agency and is a douche.

Houston plans to give James Harden a four year, $60 million extension once deal is completed, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Martin is not in their future but what is to stop OKC from flipping Martin and the draft picks for someone like Josh Smith? Doubt Utah would give up Al Jefferson but I could see them trading Paul Millsap. A team like the Wizards could give the Thunder a good big man like Nene Hilario. I could easily see them trading to Sacramento for someone like DeMarcus Cousins.

What OKC has is tradeable assets along with Kevin Martin. I bet he gets flipped for something of value, if he's not successful enough to stay on at a discount.

maybe they're a defender NOW, but they have slid down a bit. they're most likely not going to be as good a team with what they have (kevin martin + undeveloped rookie).

It makes sense. There is probably some rule that doesn't allow Harden to get the full max, or maybe he doesn't want it

You sir have a twisted value of Kevin Martin's trade value. If he could be had for the likes of Al Jefferson and Josh SMith he would've been gone a long time ago. Martin's been on the trading block since the vetoed Chris Paul deal.

Perry Jones is a garbage man, real talk, true story. Is today overrate 2nd rate prospects day. Lamb is the same guy who quit at UConn and looks like he's on drugs half the time he's awake. Meanwhile, that elite Perry Jones doesn't know how to rebound a basketball or shoot jumpers yet he's gonna take the place of a dude like Harden. Next thing you got people saying that Eric Maynor is a legitimate 6th man off the bench

The deal was Westbrook + Ibaka + filler for a year rental of Howard. It was pure **** for the Thunder.

Speaking of the douche …

What is to prevent OKC from letting Martin go after the season, amnestying Kendrick Perkins, and agreeing to pay the max for Dwight Howard?

If not him, there is also Andrew Bynum.

Woudn't this be possible?

I thought in order to get the full max you had to have played a certain amount of years or if not played the X amount of years, had at least 2 ASG or All-NBA selections, or won an MVP.

Is Perkins on the block now. Perkins + 2 picks would be an enticing offer.

Hurrah! Kevin Martin can shoot those long 2's with the best of em!

Name one first option without a midrange game. Don't worry, I'll wait.

Rose had no midrange game by the time he was an All-Star

So you mean to tell me that Martin and two 1st round picks would not appealing to a team that has Kanter and Favors ready to take over for Jefferson? U
