Giannis would be walled off to oblivion with Jeff Green and Gordon clanking shots. His defense would be immaterial as his team wouldn’t score points.

Giannis puts more pressure on the refs to call fouls than Jokic due to his drives to the hoop. Joker is more finesse with his finishes which is why he doesn’t go to the line as much.

True but Giannis also needs shooters around him to keep the defense honest. Defenses don’t respect Barton and Gordon and Jeff Green. They would just throw everything at Giannis which is my point.

Hell, Giannis got bounced in the first round with Middleton against a team led by a rookie Tatum and second year Brown.

All great players have playoff disappointments.

I really, really hope they can somehow get help for Jokic... I'd absolutely hate seeing him waste his prime years with this kinda team.

As for the Warriors, with the way they play, they won't go far IMO. Too much ups & downs during the same game, effort problems, etc.

Agreed. Much respect to the Nuggets. I still can't believe they get so much disrespect.

Also agreed about the inconsistent play. It makes sense that the Dubs are a partially rebuilt squad that has been out of the playoffs for years, and forgot how to play. Perhaps in a couple of years or so, we'll be ready again.

A) He's the MVP and had one of the All Time regular seasons. There's not a team he's not an issue for.

B) Caused him plenty of problems and won the series 4-1 with Jokic a -41 on court (had one game positive on the floor. G3 he was a +3). Curry was a +53.

You kinda proving my point. Yes, Joker is an MVP but he lacked a supporting cast and although GSW won in 5 it wasn't dominating performance. Whoever the warriors play next will be a more complete team and would rather judge them based off that competition.

Let's be honest, we're talking about the Grizzlies here. I don't think anyone thinks Minnesota is going to beat the Warriors.

The fact that Minnesota gave up two double digit leads that could have won them the series and are putting up a fight against the Grizz I really believe they have a chance against GSW. Minn is an up and coming team I believe.

Its been the weirdest thing seeing W's fans downplay how impactful is because of this series.. it was literally the worst matchup for him, and he was missing his 2 best teammates.. and only one Nugget plays good perimeter PnR defense, Aaron Gordon, and the Nuggets defended well when Warriors attacked that PnR

Jokic obviously cant dominate defensively but if he has a quality defender on the PnR paired with him, he was pretty solid at that. And that's the weakest part of his game.

Not only that, you can gameplan one impact defender away from the game if you have enough offensive options

I thought it was putting the Nuggets to sleep, as in the series is over.

Either way can you get that man a Snickers?

Maybe a steak?

His mouthpiece will soon be in two pieces.

Like I said, tough realGM guys at they keyboards prefer throat slashing gesture much more.

Or how about no gestures at all… is that an option?

I don’t think anyone can deny how great Jokic is on offense, it’s just that his weaknesses on d against perimeter actions are so glaring, and so easily exploited.

Most superstars at the highest level don’t have that big of holes in their games.

It’s also nauseating how Jokic fans have more excuses for him than any other star has. It gets old hearing about the refs or how bad his teammates are all the time. He made a bunch of boneheaded fouls this game but you don’t see any of them mention that. It’s just the refs fault.

How was it not a dominating performance? The Warriors blew the nuggets out in the first 2 games, then won game 3 & almost 4 on the road and finished it off at home. That’s about as dominant as you can get without sweeping the other team.

Weird how you say Warriors “almost won game 4” which was a 5 point loss, but don’t apply that same logic to the Nuggets “almost winning game 3” (5 point loss) or game 5 (4 point loss).

Actually not weird at all now that I see who posted it

The ending was great curry and joker trading shots( and some curry assists to open teammates out of the double).

That’s what makes playoff basketball great, best of the best trading punches in the clutch. Too bad jokers teammates aren’t as good as curry’s

Hey Nuggets' fans, I hope your team is healthy next season and major props for how hard they played the last three games which could have gone either way. Jokic is an amazing talent, I like your coach and add in two starters back to the lineup you guys will be a force next season.

And for all the Jokic haters you are out of your minds if you can't see why he is a MVP caliber player and deserving of the award should he win it.

very weak series, the mvp is very alone

and is out of gas, he played 32 min and dont defend

gsw outside curry are peasants, they can have a hot night for sure, but a serius team gonna send them home

Grizz are too young and commit silly errors, i bet on Suns with Booker or LUKA
