Seriously disappointing stuff by the Mavs. Heard a lot of analysts pick them, even before Kawhi was announced out for G1. And they have been playing some great ball in the second half of the regular season.

But then you remember their coach is Jason Kidd. Going up against Tyronn Lue.

Jason Kidd isnt the one missing shots and getting manhandled. This is on the players.

What is up with Luka? Never seen him like that. Uninspired, slow, lazy, sloppy and straight up bad. And he looks pissed all game. Doesn't even try to get involved when he doesn't have the ball.

Most of that is just naturally him tbh.

He's probably got the worst body language of any star in the league, you can see the look of disgust on his face whenever his teammates miss an open shot or make a mistake. Doesn't seem like a very inspiring leader.

Edit: Not to mention he never gets back in time on defence when he feels like that refs missed a foul on him.

Well Zubac scored 12 pts. I'm sure we all expected Mavs to offset that with a bit more creativity on offense and score more than 30 points, no?

He might not be HOU James, but he's still an incredible ALL-STAR level player, and for all the hate he gets is still one of the best playoff performers of all time.

He had two 40+ points against the Celtics last year, stealing 2 games by himself. He's always been capable of going off, and i'm glad to see it

Maybe to some extend in some random regular season game but I've never seen him like that in a playoffgame. The dude is a competitor but he looks like he gained 20 pounds in the last week and doesn't give a s***. What a shameful performance.

I think the symbol of this first half is that alley hoop between Luka and Lively which got blocked by Zubac.
Usually it's been a certain basket but not this time.
I'm still shocked by Zubac's performance to be honest.
