We could still field:

Aaron Brooks / Tony Douglas
Courtney Lee / Jeremy Lamb
Chandler Parsons / Royce White
Luis Scola / (Luer/Jones/D-mo/Patterson)
Howard / Asik

Thats a pretty solid team to be honest. Money for CP3 or Josh Smith in the offseason as well.

Where are all the bad contracts Magic want Houston to take?

Realistically HOU can offer the best picks and accaptable cap relief both of which are priotorized above personnel in Hennigan's rebuild.

Here is to hoping thats where he ends up.

I don't know what exactly but that much is clear.

Why would he do that when it was still possible that he could be a Net? Circumstances have changed, Nash is their point guard, Kobe is a year older, the franchise is a little more ripe to the idea of introducing a new franchise player. The Lakers are a premiere franchise, he already spends most of his time here. The Nets are never, ever, ever going to be an option until he's way past his prime.

The circumstances in March no longer exist. At this point, the Lakers look like his best option. Where else is he going to go? Dallas, to rebuild? Houston to rebuild? Atlanta? Probably not.

If the Nets sign Brook Lopez and Dwight's Brooklyn dream is over, will he just let the Magic work out the best possible deal or will he make a new "one team shortlist"?

That could affect negotiations.

Can you name me a PG as good and young as Dragic being paid less money than 8 million/year?
Trading Lowry wouldn't be necessary if they had done a sign and trade with the Raptors for Dragic instead.
Yes, the pick is what Morey was after but he's also being cheap.

Nobody knows how good Dragic really is. He played well for about 20 games last year as a starter but that is not enough to declare him a good starting pg. Also, we couldn't sign and trade Dragic to the Raptors unless he wanted to go there because he was a UFA. Irving, Jennings, Wall, Conley, Ty Lawson, and Rubio are all Dragic caliber players making less or around the same amount.

Hey everyone, I'd like to call to your attention the fakeness of the @ChadEvansNBA and @InsiderJayNBA accounts.

After googling the picture for "Jason McLaed" the supposed writer for the Houston Chronicle (liar), I found that his picture matched this one Image and it is from the page of... ready for it? CHAD EVANS, who works for the Council for competitiveness.

So as we can see, Jason McLaed and Chad Evans are probably run by the same person who is using these fake twitter accounts to gain followers, and stealing a real person's identity.

thats my guess. if houston holds strong to their gamble that they don't require a commitment from howard, it should be a two team trade, rockets/magic.

d12's leverage is pretty much gone i would think, where is he going to threaten to leave to via free agency? atlanta? well, they've never been on his list.

The irony is that if D12 had not opted in he he wouldn't be in this mess. What was the guy thinking

If Dragic wasn't impressive, Lowry wouldn't be so insecure with losing his starting gig. And remind me, wasn't it Houston fans who declare at the beginning of the season that Lowry was untouchables in any trade talk?

All the PGs you listed are on rookie contracts with the exception of Conley. Conley is about Dragic caliber and he's being paid the same amount of money that Dragic got from the Suns. Try again.

Just face it, your GM let quality players go because he's being cheap.

I think Houston has a pretty good lock on it. As reported, with Lopez signing the extension, they have a good amount of leverage.
