they could have very easily lost game 1, if Jaylen doesn't hit that miracle shot.
That said, yes the outcome of the series was never in doubt.

Its nice for Laker fans to watch the Celtics/Pacers and to spend quite a bit of time in the forum talking about the Celtics.

Lots of free time to talk **** when your team got dispatched in the first round.

They've always been like that. Goes back a long way. It all started in the 60's and has really never stopped. To be perfectly honest, I would personally feel there is something wrong with them when they don't show all their hate towards us. I take it as respect.

That's terrible news for Celtics fans, because you know Luka will outscore, outrebound and outassist Tatum in the finals.

We will see about that. I fully expect the Celtics to fully attack Kyrie and Luca relentlessly when they are playing defense, if you can call that defense that they both play. It will wear on them and take away from the their offense. And for all those casual fans that don't follow the Celtics much, there is a reason why we are one of the top 2 defense's in the NBA. Luca will not get his way with us. Not in the way many of you are thinking.

None of this matters because this was the Pacers best chance to make the Finals

Knicks/Bucks/Sixers/Heat will beat Pacers next season

We had a winning record against each one of those teams. So we'll see.

Pre-Siakam in most of those games.

The Pacers are better than casuals realize, much like this talk of Boston being inferior in the finals is nonsense. I expect a competitive series. People just want to hate on the East. Luka is great but Dallas is hardly a juggernaut. Predicting a Boston win.

We also beat Dallas both times. It was after their great trades also.

Indiana is really talented. I feel like they pushed the ball a bit too hard at times and periodically got a little careless.

For what is worth, both Pacers/Mavs games this year were after the trade deadline (February 25th and March 5th). The Mavs had plenty of rest before those games too (last game on February 22nd and March 2nd, respectively). Their rotation was slightly different (Lively was starting over Gafford, Josh Green was starting over Derrick Jones Jr) but every single member of their playoff rotation was healthy and playing.

Both games played out similarly as well. Luka and Kyrie both got theirs but they couldn't stop us at the other end. We shot 53.8% from the field, 46.2% from 3 in the game in Dallas (where we won 137-120) and had 34 assists on 50 made shots. As for the game in Indiana, we shot 55.9% from the field, 38.9% from 3 and had 38 assists on 52 made shots.

None of that really matters, of course. Regular season match-ups aren't always great prognosticators. But since the topic was brought up, I wanted to provide the context of these games.

It is accurate for Indy's first two series for sure so at least he realizes that. But they weren't beating the Celtics with a full squad and that is without KP.
