At this point, I just expect France to be excellent and terrible in almost equal measure. I root for them, but it’s hard to feel confident. They’re consummate beaters of themselves.

Seems to me that Spain's leading scorer, Center Willy Hernangomez, is tailor made for Rudy Gobert to hold well below his efficient 17.6 ppg on 9.6 fga Eurobasket average. Willy takes nearly all his shots around the basket in Gobert territory. He's only attempted two three pointers the entire tournament. Go France!

I’m rooting for FRA too so I’d love to believe that, but imo ESP has the coaching and personnel to solve that issue.

To me the game will come down to whether FRA executes or not, i.e., whether they beat themselves or not. Just take care of the ball, and play the defense they’re capable of playing, they *should* win. Big “if” tho…

ESP should be feeling loose and confident. They’ve already overachieved relative to expectations.

Meanwhile I expect France to be tighter, to feel more pressure. Idk where their confidence level is- it took miracles for them to get past TUR and ITA, then they beat POL…ok.

But ESP has to be feeling good after beating GER to get here, right?

If they can limit the number of times they throw the ball into the 3rd row for no reason they have a very good chance. Allez les bleus!

Poor Spain, the only team dealing with devastating injuries. Had to find a way! Italy lost Gallinari at the last match before Eurobasket, Germany could have used Moritz Wagner against you on Friday, but he blew his ankle in training camp, and so on, and so forth...

So why wasn't Balcerowski drafted this year? Was this draft really that deep in the 2nd round?

So is there just zero coverage for the final if you're in the US? Haven't been able to find any of these games to watch without paying.

Yeah, Germany didn't play with much fire.
It bothers me that many games look more like a 3point contest. Like this one.
Can't believe guys stop on their way to the basket just to pass it to someone outside the 3point line, instead of even trying a midrange jumper when open.

Congrats to Germany. They could be a scary in the coming years as Franz continues to develop and they get the rest of their NBA bigs back.

What an absolute farce the FIBA system is that Poland can’t take this momentum into next summer’s World Cup. A multi week tournament like EuroBasket is clearly more representative of a team’s true character than two half assed games right as they’re thrown together, not to mention the C-Team contests during the season without NBA or Euroleague players. The FIBA administration desperately needs to be overthrown.
The Milwaukee Bucks are NBA Champions.
