Maybe too early to say it’s a failed experiment but the thunder pieces just don’t seem to fit

Watching the Thunder be this bad makes me so so happy.

Yes I’m extremely petty.

Has the thunder had their player's-only meeting yet?

u watch the knicks at all last year?

seriously though it's more than just him imo

That’s just another Melo hater too lazy to analyze the game.

The Thunder are winging it offensively, no system at all. And their defense is below average. It’s still early in the season, obviously.

No one bothers to criticize the Cavs and their terrible play. I thought they were supposed to run through most teams? Guess not.

Yes the Oklahoma City offense needs work, but give the Nuggets some credit here. They played some very good defense tonight, especially the guards. And if I had to bet, the strategy going in was to let Anthony beat them while focusing on Westbrook and George. Anthony was beating them until halftime but that level of heat is unsustainable for most players. And in the meantime none of the other Thunder players could get the ball enough to have an impact.

The Nugs do need a better 3.

Would George be happy as a cog in a machine though instead of being the top dog? Because that's what would have to happen.

Finally got around to watching my recording of Inside the NBA after game stuff last night - OMG them trolling the LiAngelo Ball incident during the Lakers/Wizards and Philly/Sac highlights was hilarious. Kenny said you know this Laker's teams future is so bright, they got to wear shades...

true but he could definitely be our first offensive option. he would fit so nicely with jokic, who doesnt need to shoot like RW or melo.

but without agreeing to an extension I dont even bother.

I think hed prefer the bright lights of LA over winning. similar to melo and NY.

I’m surprised nobody has made a “WTF is wrong with the Thunder?” thread yet.

Bandwagon OKC bias. The media and all of these people wouldn't give other hyped teams the same benefit of the doubt if they were playing this poorly, I guarantee you.

Do you not realize it's easier said than done. That's like saying "don't teams scout Warriors? How don't they know that guarding Curry and Thompson beyond the arc is smart?"

Dude I wasn't attacking the Rockets, you don't need to get so defensive about it. I was having a laugh at Cavs god awful defence as it was truly awful at the time of my comment. Other teams at least look like they are trying to stop Rockets from shooting 3s.

Jazz are one of the best teams when it comes to preventing 3s. Rockets still dropped 23 3s on them. I gotta say though: the Cavs' defense definitely improved in the second half. JR and Shumpert did some work on Harden.

Don't compare Hou's offense to OKC.

It makes OKC look like a elementary school team.

Why? They run the same garbage chuck offense. It's just that HOU hits their shots. Both are unwatchable.

If you have a bunch of 3-point shooters on your team and D'Antoni is your coach, you better believe they're going to stick with that. It's not a coincidence that they're the second best offensive team (while OKC is 21st). You might not like the style. It doesn't mean that it doesn't work. OKC is a whole different case--they have no offense.

That was freaky though. Harden scored 22 points on 7/7 in the first quarter! When you set the stage starting off like that, of course it's going to open things up for the whole team. That's more of an exception rather than the rule. I never said Rockets aren't good at getting 3s, of course they are, as I said previously my comment was a lot more about how atrocious the Cavs defence was at the time. There's a big difference between Jazz trying their best and Rockets shooting well anyway and the Cavs just standing around doing sweet F all and letting Rockets stroll over them easily. I re-iterate the effort was bad at the time of my making the comment. It got better as the game wore on.
