Good one!

Jokic 36/21/11 (+/- of +15) in a losing effort ,where the Denver bench scored 8 total points on 4 of 19 shooting.

Absolute worst the Nuggets could have played, and they still had the ball with a chance to tie with 5 seconds remaining.

This is a very good sign for us.

Nah the Nuggets should not be losing to below average teams even with Murray out and the bench being ****

Below average? Houston had won 5 in a row. Everyone can clearly tell they’re a good team now. They’re not below average anymore

Rockets are 7th in Net Rating, 7th in point differential, and 12th in SRS (before tonight). They're not below average this year.

That said, no, Denver still shouldn't be losing to them even without Murray. They probably couldn't have played worse, both sides of the ball, aside from Jokic.

The Rockets are ‘below average’ and the Nuggets are elite?

Nuggets 8-2
Rockets 6-3

Which player would you rather have?

1. 29.8/13.7/8.3, 60.6 FG%, 64.6 eFG%, 66.8 TS%, +/- of 117 (2nd in NBA), On/Off +19.0, 105.8 defensive rating.

2. 32.4/11.7/5.7, 50.5 FG%, 53.6% eFG%, 61.2 TS%, +/- of +70 (15th in NBA), On/Off +3.3, 106.7 defensive rating.

Jokic this season:

T-4 in assists per game
5th in points per game
1st in rebounds per game

What a start for The Unicorn!

1'st one easily. And I know who he is. Embiid isn't even 2'd this season. It's either Curry or Luka.

Enough of gifted MVP's.

I wrote earlier that Luka won't be able to keep up with Embiid and Jokic as the season wears on, but Luka's looking slim and dominant and perhaps will have the stamina to make it through an 82 game season. I think he's reinserted himself into the race.

3.4 3s per game. The most ridiculous is the 1.1 turnovers per game.

Dude put up a 50 piece and had 2 turnovers.

There's a bit of SGA about his game, it's beautiful to watch and so efficient. I love guards that can score big without relying on the three.

Absolute lock for MIP at this stage, but I don't think he's MVP level.

He won't win it, but this guy is a complete player. Defense improved, makes big plays on that side of the ball.

Play-making passer. Fastest player with the ball, and elite shooter.

Haliburton will get top 5-10 finishes for the next ~10 years. He may never win the award, but he will be in the discussion for a very long time.

Bbref needs to seriously consider reworking its MVP formula. Not having Dillon top ten is a traveshamockery.
