Every fan of the "true PG" likes to tell themselves this when in reality, their "true PG" doesn't have the bag to get a shot whenever they want.

If Hali could drop 25 on 60 TS a game, he would but he can't. It's been 3 years.

He doesn't draw free throws, he doesn't have simple ways to generate offense, he isn't that crafty of a guy.

He's a bread and butter pick and roll PG that shoots 3s and makes the right pass.

Why are you saying this like it is a bad thing? Being elite in the pick and roll, hitting teammates with good passes and being a competent 3 point shooter leading to a high quality offense is literally the idea "true PG". Teams don't need to be constructed around outdated isolation players like it is the late 90s. Your takes reek of someone who lives for instagram reels.

I can’t see Denver keeping up with Indiana or New York’s offenses, even if they got past OKC & Minny :dontknow:

Kudos to you guys. If you do manage to beat us, I hope you guys go on to the finals.

I had a lot of time before I posted bc the woman had already given up so I had to show her what happened. So I had time to come down a bit.

By the time I got back here I almost made a point to say I'm sorry and feel your pain. But I didnt know if it would come across genuine. All those guys out, then you're excited thinking you tied the series just for it to be ripped from you. I would be in my emotions so I just left it alone.

Also, Mitchell gave everything he had. He looked just tired AF a few times in the last couple minutes. That has to be deflating.

Maybe. Elite superstars deliver the W though. Not fully on him obviously, but this was supposed to be his moment he/they failed. Not only for the game, but could be for the series.

Tough, but not every star/superstar are made winners i guess.

Stop it. He put up 48 points when the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th scoring options were in street clothes, he did his part. He himself is not 100% right now.

Haliburton did not overrate himself.

Hali is underrated if anything lol. He makes their entire offense go and got them to the conference finals last season and is on the verge of doing it again. The Pacers will also be facing a lesser opponent in the ECF no matter the result of BOS/NY.

There really isn't anything to rub in. Your guys really did give it their all. Mitchell was absolutely unreal and he deserves all the credit for an almost heroic performance. Allen, Strus, Wade and Merrill left it all on the court as well and deserve credit.

Pacers style contributes to their postseason success - They spread their minutes around, spread their usage, etc which really keeps their guys fresh later in games it seems. Very rarely do those guys look exhausted down the stretch. I said this last year too when they played a depleted Knicks squad - Sure you can say they got lucky, but there's a reason why they are fresher and more injury-free than other teams and THAT is not totally luck.

Yep. He barely had the strength to get up from the floor at the end of the game. He carried an absolutely immense load.

Pacers base is actually fans of the Pacers versus fans of star players. Being a fan of the team we don’t want bad karma.

That's what happens when you play the Pacers. Ask some of your Knicks brethren like cgf and Capn'O

The Cavs played the same way, and they still got injured. A Pacer player just slid under Mobley's foot on a jump shot and Hunter got hurt on a drive to the basket.

There were a lot of Cavs fans who started talking earlier in the thread, but thats okay, there are a lot of super chill ones too, so for their sake I kept as quiet as I could haha.

I try my best to only give it back to those who started it, but didn't wanna mess with that too much tonight because that would be a heartbreaking way to lose, and having been on the other end of that, it sucks...didn't wanna rub it in.

Plus, still a long series to go. Cavs have their backs against the wall, but that is when teams are the most dangerous. Hopefully they can get some players back.
