Shades of Joakim Noah with this coast to coast -

12 and 14 in 27 minutes, is he trying to make me eat my words already? But seriously, same problems - 6/16 from the field, really shot happy. Can't remember too much from the defensive end, he had some good plays, like the block you can see here, but as I said above, needs a lot of work on that end. Tenacious rebounder though.

Glad we had a good draft for a lot of teams, it is good to spread the talent around; I get tired of the same teams monopolizing all of the talent. Lyles J looks legit. Sounds like Winslow is going to be a stud two-way player.

Came here to post something similar. Has anyone outside Utah seen much of him? If so, care to chime in?

I hated the pick when we made it, but he's making a believer out of me. Dude has a crazy combination of size, skills and intelligence offensively. Coming along way faster than projected. If he decides he cares enough to become at least an average rebounder and commits defensively, it looks like he has a chance to be a real star in the league.

was buried on that UK team with all the talent they had. Was actually pretty high on a few mocks before going to UK. Skillset was always there. I felt like playing at UK helped him show his faceup game on large stage since he played 3 most of the year for that team. Post game is pretty solid as well as he does just enough to get his looks without needing to be an explosive athlete. Can put the ball on the floor a little, passes well, range out to 3 especially nice in the corners. Defensively he competes but there's an obvious learning curve for rooks.

Not sure how close he gets to his ceiling playing in Utah. Favors is a beast and Gobert provides value that Trey wouldn't be able to give next to Favors. I think that regulates him to first big off the bench unless they decide to move him. They could run all three and have Rudy cover for him getting beat at the 3 if the matchups aren't favorable but Trey is definitely somebody that should be seeing legit time on the floor.

Once fully healthy and more seasoned a lineup with Gobert/Favors/Lyles/Hood/Exum could be a length nightmare on the defensive end for the opposition.

to sum it up I like the kid.

If you put each rookie individually into last season, how much of them do you think could ROY over last years class?

The top 4 all take it (assuming Nah stays healthy). Outside if that Booker might and Myles might.

The only pick in the entire lottery I didn't/don't/won't understand is Charlotte taking Kaminsky. Not only was he clearly not the BPA, he doesnt even fit a need for them. They are already stocked with F/C prospects and established players. Each of the guys drafted after him in the lottery would've been a better choice for them with the (possible) exception of Cameron Payne: Winslow, Turner, Lyles, and Booker

I dont think richardson will ever be that good. he looks to be a solid role player, which isnt bad for a second rounder.

Who would be a good comparison to Richardson?... looking at skillset/style of play and athleticism?

As long as Knight is on the floor with Booker, Richardson will be better. Booker last three games with Knight 18,16, and 7 pts!?! :banghead: After he average 28.5 pts for 5 straight with back to back 30 pt games. I now understand what Laker fans were complaining about with Scott and Lou Williams.

How pitiful was tonights game? Lakers and Suns fans deserve like a rebate from our team's owners for wasting our whole year watching this crap. I will however also accept a top 3 pick as payment too ;)

Winslow was clearly the BPA, and Charlotte really blew it by not only passing on him, but also passing on four first rounders from the Celtics(who coveted Winslow).

To be fair to Charlotte, they already have MKG, and it would be basically impossible to play Winslow alongside him.

Passing on the four first rounders, on the other hand, may haunt them in a few years depending on how Kaminsky improves.
