I actually like Durant as a dark horse just because of what he's done to turn the Thunder around and because of his beastly numbers, etc...but I don't think there's a strong enough case for him over LeBron. KD and LeBron have similar supporting casts and the Cavs have the top record in the league. While KD has helped his team make the playoffs, LeBron has helped his team become one of the most serious contenders in the league.

Still, I like a lot of OKC's young pieces just as much...and I was referring more to the support they give LBJ/KD. As a matter of fact, I wasn't using the "similar supporting casts" to mean "weak supporting casts". Just again, the players' roles in support positions.

Rondo has 5: Wallace, Finley, KG, Allen, and Pierce

Somehow I don't see how this plays into how good of a supporting cast he has. Durant's non all-star teammates are damn good. Stop hyping Durant.

I'll never understand why Howard gets so much love for his defense. There are what, 5 legit centers in the league? He has the easiest job in the world.

This thread is being released into the real world. ( they grow up so fast)

It's a forgone conclusion that Lebron wins this award. Please continue to keep all MVP talk into this thread, but we don't need it stickied any longer.
Cheers. — Mags

I stopped arguing that Kobe was MVP months ago.
