Wouldn't exactly call six "plenty."

Besides, KG was never a 3-point shooter. Only four times did he finish a season with more attempts than Towns has now and only once with a better percentage than Towns. Same with Aldridge. Last year was the first time he had more than 30 attempts in a season.

Etc stands for etcetera FYI. And KAT only takes 0.9 3s a game. LMA was 35% from deep last year taking more than KAT and KG had 2 years taking a 3 a game (one at 32% and one at 37).

I brought up both of them. One year out of 10 and two years out of 20....looks like an outlier to me.

They just didn't take them most years but when they did they made a lot. KAT might not shoot threes much going forward either.

Like I said, it took KAT one season to do what those two guys only did a total of five times in 30 seasons combined. Sure, he could stop taking 3s, but I think that's unlikely.

This draft class is really good but I think it will be known more for its quantity of good players as opposed to a draft that generated a few all time greats. Only KAT projects to be in that category. Maybe some of the other player will improve and get that status but i doubt it.

At the same time, they're only rookies so you never really know how good these guys can be. A lot of all time greats show themselves to be that right away (LeBron, Shaq, etc.) but then you also have to remember that sometimes it takes a year or two or three for guys to show that (Durant, Harden, etc) and sometimes, although rare, it takes guys 5 or more seasons like Nash or even Steph even though he was good, he only began playing like an all time great at ages 27-28

But I agree that as of now Towns is the only one whose shown it right now.

Randle showing his all-around game last night.

13 points (6-8), 14 rebounds, 5 assists (2TO), 1 stl, 3 blocks

His mentor Draymond would be proud.
