Yep, 83 Sixers were better. If you think 86 Celtics are the best ever than 86 Rockets must be up there, considering they gave Boston all they could handle.

That 86 rockets team had maybe the best big man of all time and Ralph Sampson. They hammered the showtime Lakers that year. You are not showing then enough respect.

Telhe 86 Celtics had 5 hall of famers including Larry legend...who btw was better than anyone on the 76ers

Not having Jaylen Brown is going to be tough for Boston G1. They will need all the length they can get with the way Philly uses their shooters.

What, refs never miss calls now? That’s a foul. I’m glad he got away with that one apparently, though.

His hand was on the ball as he went up for the shot. Any contact after is inconsequential

Hakeem was in his 2nd season. That Rockets team ranks pretty low on the totem pole of all time runner ups. Moses and Dr J would have shown Bird the 50 states like they did in 83.

Anyway the only reason I brought those teams up was to make fun of Celtics fans dwelling in the past and deflecting from the current series.

Coaching advantage

We saw how elite his coaching was in last year's playoffs.

When they made the conference finals starting a midget, and guy slightly taller than a midget, a backup 3, a backup 4 and Horford. Lol.

Last year when the 1st seed Celtics nearly lost to the 8th seed Bulls but were saved by Rondo's injury. That same 1st seed team was taken 7 games by the Wizards and then immediately bounced in 5 by the Cavs. Stevens is good for adding a few extra wins in the regular season, but that's it.

Sixers in 5. Celtics are just too depleted from injuries to put up a fight against an actual good team like the Sixers.

Conference finals is conference finals. You can't rationalize that achievement away.

At certain point, if you do not predict that the Celtics will lose to the Sixers due to injury issues, then you are saying that Hayward + Irving + Brown are not valuable. I mean, you can't have it both ways. You can not simultaneously predict the Celtics to still win while not denigrating the values that these three players bring to the table.

At a certain point yes but that point is past the sixers. With a healthy lineup the sixers get the sweep treatment

If we had Hayward and Irving, celts are a 60 plus win team.

Even with Irving, Celtics would problay win this in 5.

But celts have no scoring. 76ers in 6 or Boston is 7 is my best guess.

Might as well cancel the game. The sixers are the best team ever assembled and Boston won't score more than 12 points. RealGM has spoken.

As I said earlier, you can really tell Sixers fans haven't seen a good team in a while the way they're overrating their current team. They are far from a championship contender right now. They'll probably get there in a few years, but they're about the same level as last year's Wizards right now.

Sixers are 8-1 to win championship. I guess Vegas hasn't seen a good team in a while either

OMG enough!!! Celtics fans need to get over themselves and realize they haven't won **** since KG and Pierce... You guys lost in the playoffs last year, and your savior might be injury prone. Stop counting your chickens before they hatch, and enjoy the fact that your role players and young stars are maturing fast. This will be a hard-fought series, but acting like the Sixers don't have the right to feel confident is preposterous.

Boston fans predicting the Celtics win the series: you are disqualified from pulling the injury card when all is said and done.

If Middleton looks that good against Boston then our shooters will have a field day.

Might as well cancel the game. Boston doesn't have Irving and Hayward, so this doesn't really count as a negative against Boston if they lose. But at the same time, despite the hedging and excuse making already being made, assuming that the 76ers are heavy favorites is still an insult. Boston fans have spoken.

I think that might have something to do with Lebron having his worst supporting cast ever and the Raps being the only healthy contender in the East. The Sixers don't have a shot in hell of winning the title though. We all know this.
