Is SGA a bad defender? Why was he not out there?

Seems like not looking for the 3 there was a bad strategy.

He needs a better midrange game. 3P/rim analytics are cute in the regular season. But playoffs, you need to make every type of shot.

Reason Shai is continuing to dominate is cause he keeps getting automatic 15 ft shots like MJ.

Not healthy

He looked healthy to me when he did a two foot jump from the free throw line and almost hammered it

We are all asking ourselves this question. It wasn't as if they were going for a steal but couldn't get one. NAW was playing defense like he didn't know what was going on

It's so hard to find any space, even for him.

Ant doesnt have an SGA to play off of.. but the gulf between Ant and SGA is apparent

Ant is a totally different level to Dub when it comes to shooting the 3 and scoring in general. But Dub has advantages in defense and in playmaking that narrow the gap significantly. Ant still clearly better at this stage.

He's still not ready. 2nd straight year he couldn't get the job done.

Like I said in another thread, Ant is a good player but he's overrated. There's another level he could reach to be a legitimate top 5 MVP player but he's not there yet but he's treated by many like he's already reached that level.

That's bc Ant is actually fun to watch, unlike the free throw merchants (fLuka, SGA).

Bingo, all the superstar wings with rings had an in between game. He has time, LeBron learned it later on in his career.

Ant with 6 assists and 5 turns, not sure that was a masterful floor general performance. Much more passive than game 3. There were a few possessions where he didn’t try to take the OKC defender one on one, opting to pass it back out instead.

He doesn’t get calls and all of OKC defenders are allowed to straddle him anywhere inside half court

Nobody can honestly say Dort would be allowed to defend SGA the way he defends Ant
