Honestly, just take a lot at Pau's stats when he was the #1 option in Memphis compared to DIRK's. Then just think of how ridiculous the Lakers would be if you switched out Pau for DIRK. You can't tell me the Lakers wouldn't be better.

Honestly, just take a lot at Pau's stats when he was the #1 option in Memphis compared to DIRK's. Then just think of how ridiculous the Lakers would be if you switched out Pau for DIRK. You can't tell me the Lakers wouldn't be better.

Last year Gasol averaged more rebounds, assists, and blocks and also had a better fg% than Dirk. Dirk's a great player and you can make a strong case for both of them, I just happen to think Pau is better.

And Dirk would absolutely not be a better fit for the Lakers than Gasol. The reason that the Lakers PF/C rotation of Gasol, Bynum, and Odom works is because Gasol can play either C or PF. Dirk and Bynum would work but Dirk and Odom wouldn't give the Lakers the inside presence they need on offense or defense.

Oh, and I still think that anyone that thinks Tyreke Evans will be a top 14 player at the end of the season is smoking something harsh.

Guy was a top 20-25 player last year as a rookie. It's not the least bit ridiculous to think that he vaults into the top 10-15 this coming season--especially given how hard he's been pushing himself this offseason.


I think 8 of the top 10 are pretty much locks (in no order):
Lebron
Wade
Durant
Howard
Dirk
Kobe
Paul
Deron

After those 8 I could see an argument for any of Melo, Roy, Gasol, or Duncan (yeah, he's still that good) being the remaining 2 of that top 10. For sake of continuity, Evans is right in the next group (after those last 4 guys) knocking on the door to move up a level.

Numbers dont mean everything... If they did the last MVPS would be like

2005: Kobe
2006: Kobe
2007: Lebron
2008: CP3
2009: Wade
2010: Lebron

But its mostly about winning, stats too, but whoever has the most impact on a really good team. If You average 28 PPG and people say your the greatest player in the game, just because you share the ball with other, more capable players doesn't make you less talented
