Re: ESPN to launch "Heat Index"
I think you'd learn to accept him if he came to your team. Lets put it this way, there are barely any holdouts on the Heat board now, and we definitely had a few who hated him (or at least disliked) before he joined our team.
Its a catch-22... Heat fans say "If he was on your team, you'd like him"... Opposing teams say "If he wasn't on your team, you'd hate him"... both things are true to an extent. The only way to get an unbiased viewpoint really is to ask someone who isn't a fan of any particular team how they feel about it.

I know right...it would make much more sense to have an ESPNMiami than this crap (no offense Heat fans).
Chalk it up to ESPN to actually do something that would make good business sense.

[EDIT: Can't speak for the Bulls Board, but on the Knicks Board you had about 5 fans out of a ton that wished injury on them, and they were called out for it HARD.

Good, I hope they get built up and get so much media coverage that when they lose it's like the whole world is crashing down

Henne - yay or nay?
I'm on the yay bandwagon for now... although they need to stop ignoring Ricky/Ronnie and establish the run, even if we get down early on.

Hopefully ESPN has a good supply of Chloraseptic to soothe their throat from going down on the Heat so much.

I'm with Chris Webber on this (2:25)
I don't care what nobody thinks
The Heat will roll.
Miami Heat =Detroit Piston (badboys)

That is not mutually exclusive. Hollinger wrote that Wade's 2006 Finals performance was the Greatest Of All Time, based on PER.

Or you could ask someone who has had it both ways.

I'm not surprised. I rarely go to espn anymore anyways. What would be better for the NBA/espn: the HEAT being a huge disappointment or them succeeding?

I really hope LeBron gets a career ending injury, but I would settle for just a season ending one. I can't stand what he did to the nba.

I was dead sure this had to be some kind of joke or parody, but sadly it appears to be real. Not that I had any credibility in ESPN already, they've been riding the Lebron-train pretty hard for a few years, but this is getting (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Haven't watched ESPN (except for actual games) or gone to ESPN.com in years anyways. Who gives a s**t...

Good for Windy, but sucks for Cavalier coverage.
As long as Windy releases that tell all book exposing LBJ's tank job and exagerated elbow injury from last year in the future, more power to him.
He's one of the best beat reporters around.

Re: ESPN to launch "Heat Index"
I wonder what ESPN's ombudsman has to say about this, given his thoughts on the Decision. It will be quite interesting to see how ESPN handles any sort of adversity, controversity or negative situation among the big 3.
Also, why do people say, "If you don't like it, just don't watch it, talk about it, etc?" Because there's an innate human desire to reconcile what we percieve with what we think is good/bad. But even more, I can think of few things less persuasive than trying to convince people on a message board not to talk about something.

I really like Henne. I like his chemistry so far with his young guys (Bess, Hartline) but I was really surprised with how well he's finding Marshall.
That being said, Ronnie Brown IMO is a top 5 back in the NFL and he's being underutilized. Ronnie could be putting up 110 a game, he's just a team player who will take snaps in the wildcat and block.
