¿Spurs? They will get swept again, this time by a rising team (OKC or Utah)

It's also why Boston lost to the Cavs.

No one saw the Wade slurpfest coming in the 2006 Finals for Games 5 and 6.

Um, Boston always beats the Cavs in the playoffs. This year's regular season game was a fluke, nothing more.

Not a Spurs fan. I just acknowledge greatness where I see it. And I see it in San Antone.

Very astute prediction.

For some reason, I am partial towards Utah upsetting the Lakers if it is going to happen at all. However, this is based on a limited sample size of games.

Utah will never beat LA because Deron Williams turns into a little bitch against them when things aren't going great. Utah could've beat LA at least once in a series, but the Jazz keep giving up. No confidence unless things are really going their way.

The past games of the Jazz against the Hawks/Bobcats/Heat/Magic disagree with you.

Neither of those teams are the Lakers, a team that's beaten them over and over that they're afraid of.

The Thunder?

Nah, not this season. We're healthy, and when that happens, it's on.

Miami has plenty of length, what they lack is bulk.

Also, their defense has shown the ability to be elite, and is still among the best in the league despite their recent slip-ups (which have also seen their offense clicking a bit better).

It doesn't help that they don't play to their strengths, i.e. they play at a sluggish pace and run too many iso plays, despite the luxury of having both LeBron and Wade.

Interesting perspective from a recent bandwagoner.

And no, the 2nd game wasn't close. Sure, the scoreboard ended up close, but Boston controlled the game from minute 1 through minute 48. That's not a close game, no matter what the numbers say at the end of it.

Miami did a great job keeping Boston out of the paint. They lost by 5 in a game where Ray Allen shot 7 of 9 from three.

Still a loss, but the lesson wasn't "Boston beat up Miami inside", it was "Boston exposed Miami's sloppy, over-rotating defense with perimeter sharpshooting".

I mean **** Pau Gasol fell into the Lakers lap, KG and ray ray fell into the celtics laps.... If theres another Lakers Celtcis Finals its gonna be sooooooo boring.

It would be much more interesting than watching a healthy Lakers roster dismantle the Heat in 6 games or less; then again, that wouldn't be so bad.

If the Heat make it to the Finals, that means they ran the gauntlet of Celtics-Magic (or maybe Celtics-Bulls). No way they fold that easily so deep into a postseason that has tested their fundamental weaknesses.

If they get "dismantled" in the playoffs, it happens in the conference semis or ECF.

We are in 2011 now, instead of creating another thread I thought about just posting in this one. Is this still a farfetched idea?

Farfetched would be something like Grizzlies/Nets.

Spurs/Celtics is probably the third or fourth most likely matchup behind Lakers/Heat and Lakers/Celtics (and that's just giving the Lakers credit by being champs, they look awful right now).

I'm praying we see this series. Shaq/KG vs Duncan, Manu vs Pierce, TP vs Rondo. Celts have an advantage with Perkins and Ray but the Spurs are slightly deeper.

It's just like Barkley said the other day that things are not so clear cut....There isn't really 1 team that is playing head and shoulders above other comparable teams(if that makes any sense) maybe the Spurs
