...but at least this man can now put food on the table of his family and provide a decent living for himself as well.

If anyone is desperate for attention, it's you. How you gonna hate on this guy? Ban/suspend me if you want....you're a punk.

Oh please. The Cavaliers did a good thing here. No need to get down on them for it.

Oh, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If LeBron had done given the guy a house, the haters would have been out in full force yammering about LeBron just doing a PR move.

But when Gilbert does it to improve his image, it's reverse-hated due to the lingering hatred for LeBron.

You know this is true.

Firstly you can only speculate if Gilbert did it for PR, maybe he did or maybe not. At the end of the day a homeless man with amazing voice is getting a 2nd chance in life.

And considering how terrible Lebron's image is among non heat fans, there's more possibility of Lebron doing it for PR than Gilbert. So obviously more people would be questioning Lebron's intentions (not that it really matters to me).

It is not.

Charity (giving someone a house) is different than employment (giving someone a chance to get their life back on track).

You know, the whole "teach a man to fish" story.

I didn't see Dan Gilbert's name connected to this at all in any of the articles I read. Why do you think he would even be involved with this?

Just because he owns the team doesn't mean that he gets involved with pr moves and random hires. Do you think he also selects the acrobats for the half-time entertainment? I'm sure his marketing people have their own budget and make their own decisions. The marketing people are the only ones I've heard interviewed or quoted about this.
