Maybe the cavs are hoping baron will accept a buy out. Might as well shed salary while getting a first rounder as well.

Everyone knows a unmotivated baron is a fat baron which is a crap baron.

Yeah, I've touched on this from the Cavs perspective, but from LAC's?

Wow.

Atrocious.

It's like they just traded their first for the Minny first, but their first goes to a third team for some cash.

Wow.

And he was actually playing pretty well in Clipper Land.

Oh me oh my!

Are Cleveland hoping that Baron will accept a buy out as he refuses to leave LA?

I seriously don't get it. Sham has Mo having an ETO this summer and player option in 2012, I didn't even know that was possible. It's the same amount of years just 3-4 mil less but then I guess if you factor in the lotto pick you now save 6-9 million. Is this to accommodate DeAndre's deal this summer and then Eric Gordon afterwards? Just doesn't make much basketball sense is all.

Getting two top 10 picks always works in association mode for 2k11, good move for the Cavs no doubt

Dan Gilbert will make Baron wear 23 so he can heckle him.

Yep, the 2011 pick is UNPROTECTED. So pretty much trading Mo (who has lost his spot to Sessions anyway) for a top 10 pick. Davis will blow for the Cavs and his contract is terrible, but that only affects Gilbert's wallet. Cavs weren't signing anyone significant for the next couple years anyway. And then Davis will be an expiring.

Cavs haven't touched their TPE and they already have a top 10 pick they acquired. I thought for sure neither Mo or Jamison would be dealt this year (that no one would want them). I'm surprisingly happy.

Can Davis still draw an audience? Wonder if he'll affect the Cavaliers attendance any.

This is the type of **** that will make Griffin leave.

A dude I know was talking to me about that and I'm like he can't leave he's restricted but then simultaneously we both agreed, a disgruntled star with the league wide spotlight is not a good thing.

I'm just saying, in a RFA S&T they're going to get great value, but that value ain't Blake Griffin.

We're years away, but it's like they're trying to seal their fate seasons in advance.

Marc Spears confirms it's a 2011 unprotected 1st round pick from the Clippers.

As much as I love Blake Griffin and would never wish harm upon a player, can he help the Cavs out and maybe sit out the 2nd half of the season? ;)

You havent been watching Clippers games this year, have you? BD was a facilitating guard mostly this year and has been leading the Clippers. Eric Gordon's handles are pretty shaky and he has trouble setting up teammates still. BD was perfect.

Could be the first pick of the entire draft. Why wouldn't you at least top 3 protect it??

This is a flabbergastingly awful trade for LA. They gave Cleveland an unprotected pick to downgrade at PG and shave off a measly $4 million on next year's salaries?? Man they must be damn confident on getting a good FA there, or they are freaking (Please Use More Appropriate Word).
