pau was listed as f most of his career.

boozer plays more in the post on offense.

noah is like dale davis. a definition of fc.

noah plays c on the bulls, cause they dont have a legit c, however he would be a very good fit with the nets playing anlong brook lopez.

Noah is a true center defensively and good one too, he just don't have good for nba standards post game. He's very much like Chandler. And i don't think he would be a great fir for Lopez, when you have a low post player; it's best to surrond him with guys who can space the floor for him and also make shots when he's doubled. That's how guys like Matt Bonner make money in the NBA.

noah would be a perfect fit defensivly.

on offense, do u really need 4 shooters?

whens the last time team with for shooters won a championship?

i rather have a guy like noah whos gonna rebound n can defend 4s n 5s, then have a shooter like bonner.

You don't need them to succeed but they make life easier
Also think about 2003 Pistons with Rasheed/Okur, any Laker team with Horry, Spurs with Horry?
Both Shaq-Lakers and Duncan-Spurs had tons of great shooters on perimeter,
they had also penetrators, but for both penetrators and post players having reliable 3pt shooting threat is a great relief, the more the better, only makes your offense harder to defend and it's harder to pack the lane.

yea I would pick Noah over Bonner too 8-)
im talking about a good fit for a low post player, so more appropiate comparison would be Noah or prime Horry. If I have a Brook Lopez/Dwight/Nene/Duncan/Pau type of player I take Horry.

this why i like stretchfloor-fours 8-)

doctorfunk wrote:My top10;

1. Dwight Howard - elite defensive and offensive player
2. Pau Gasol - complete offensive and defensive player, easily no2 despite shameful playoffs
3. Andrew Bogut - has a case for being best defensive center in the league
4. Tim Duncan - declining but still great defensive presence and a complete player
5. Nene - great inside presence, scoring on historically high TS%
6. Andrew Bynum - great on the block, shot blocker, sadly injury prone affects his rank
7. Tyson Chandler - intelligent player on offensive end, among best rebounders and defenders.
8. Joachim Noah - great rebounder, defender; his offensive struggles keep him low on the list
9. Brook Lopez - suspect on D and rebounding at times, effective scorer in the post
10. Marc Gasol/Marcin Gortat - a tie, both young centers next season may be defining for their careers.

honorable mention; Chris Kaman would have made the list year ago, unfortunately wasn't healthy

not included from idealogical reasons PFs playing out of position:
LMA (though he's a sort of a tweener; was PF all career, but can be a legit center if needed)
Al Jefferson
Al Horford
Andrea Bargnani

Yet Nene is top 5? Explain.

If I were drafting today, I'd honestly take Bynum over Bogut. Only Dwight has more impact on the defensive end than Bynum.

Yea you could say they are similar players but I think Nene is a bit better rebounder, much better man-to-man defender and way more efficient scorer, although he doesn't score 20ppg he scores 14,5 on amazing 61,5% shooting from the field.

Bogut is better in basically ever aspect of defense imo. He is also injury prone, not that Bogut is an example of health, but I'd take Bogut over Bynum for my franchise, Bynum injury problems being a factor ofc.

If A Jefferson and Nene are C's....so is Horford...who overall...is better.

Noah is unconventional but was >> Kaman or Bynum even if part of that was the injury factor.

Obviously the Clips would not be able to trade Kaman and get Noah, nene or M Gasol.

For guy that only plays 40 games a year Bynum is way overrated and Noah is extremely underrated considering he was the best player on Chicago one or two series in the playoff...

1. Howard

2. Duncan

3. Noah
4. Al Horford
5.Bogut
6. Nene
7. Jeffersson
8. Marc Gasol
9. Tyson Chandler
10. Okafor
10. Brook Lopez

2 - Andrew Bogut - when healthy that is
3 - Andrew Bynum - so much potential starting to show
4 - Al Horford - solid offensive player
5 - Joakim Noah - solid defender
6 - Marc Gasol - Solid all around
7 - Tim Duncan - looking old as f***
8 - Nene - excellent efficiency.
9 - Al Jefferson - underrated needs to beast next year
10 - Tyson Chandler - great defense and rebounding

Its so depressing that Oden is injured more often than Jenna Jamison is stuffed. Guy would certainly be a top 4 center. Possibly #2.

The rebounding issue isn't even a big deal, he can rebound, its just that he didn't feel like it this year. You can clearly see that he was dealing with injuries this year since he only uses 1 hand to reach for rebound.
Next year he will be back to his normal form.
On offense Lopez is deadly, he can do it all. It might look awkward but its effective.
Lopez is one of the top 5 centers in the league.

What? Did I really just read this as an excuse. Just because Lopez didn't feel like rebounding?

Well, until he feels like rebounding, he won't be making my top 5. Just because I don't feel like it.

BTW, Eddy Curry would've been a great center, but he just didn't feel like doing it.

Remember Eddy Curry's career year, posting 19.5 ppg and 7 rebounds... that's Brook Lopez... all offense, ugly on other parts of the game.

In a recent interview, Bogut himself stated that he was probably a top 3 center prior to his massive injury but says now he's probably top 5 or 6. I guess he'd know and I doubt he's being modest.

I think it more likely he's in a mix of guys with no-one in particular standing out - Noah, Chandler, Bynum, Horford, to name a few.

Amare played C a lot more than PF this year. He started at center. He has played center for most of his career. Whether it is his "natural position" doesn't matter. He is a center.

1 - Dwight Howard
2 - Marc Gasol
3 - Al Horford
4 - Joakim Noah
5 - Nene
The rest are too washed up, inconsistent, or injury prone.

Bynum and Bogut would prbably rank 2 and 3 if they weren't always injured but I just can't rank them because they hardly ever play.

He was FORCED to play C, because NY never had a real center the entire year. That doesn't mean his stats should be looked at and compared to players like Dwight, Bynum, and Chandler. It is not the same situation. Is he alright at the 5? Sure, but wouldn't you rather have him being ranked and compared to KG, Pau Gasol, Dirk, Z-Bo and others of the sort, because that is HIS position.

if he was matched up vs pf then sure.

but when most of the year hes matched up vs c, then it only makes sense to compare him to other cs.
