This has nothing to do with the Lakers

The trade didn't accomplish what the NBA wants as owners of the Hornets. They want a team that can sell and a team with expensive vets is not that

Demps did a **** terrible job and then tried to pass off the same trade w/ Jason Smith and Marcus Banks as the change. The NBA should fire him

Dude what are you talking about? The deal WAS accepted...If it wasn't, I wouldn't have had a problem. But this deal WAS accepted on.

No gm would trade a player like paul unless they knew the owner was cool with it (if they cared about their job that is). The hornets owner(s) saw the deal and said no. You can't let demps do whatever he wants without someone able to check him.

Nah, this kind of stuff happens all the time. Teams often disagree on the terms of trades and they fall apart. I think NOH were trying to accomadate Paul but the Lakers just could not--or would not--offer a package that was acceptable. I think Stern did the right thing and that the Hornets will end up being the beneficiaries because of it. Rightfully so. It is his job to make sure the Hornets don't get hosed in trades or at least give them the best chance of making a better deal. Any team would do that.

Stern blocked the deal because Dell Demps is an idiot. It had nothing to do with hurting LA but rather about saving NOH from utter disaster at the hands of a mental midget. I'm sorry, that deal was terrible and if a similar trade was made by another team Stern would have blocked it as well.

The fact that the deal was largely influenced by CP3 acting like a straight vagina and demanding to be traded to LA was just more fuel for David Stern's fire. Anyone who doesn't get this needs to get their head checked and/or needs to stop watching ESPN.

Aside from the nose blowing wrist slicing trash that composes the original post, there are some valid points behind it. The Lakers aren't as entitled as most seem to think, they've built great teams through great management; not denying being in Los Angeles had nothing to do with it but it still takes managing a team to make a great team. I just have to laugh at spoiled they are, crying and ignoring reason, eating the garbage the media is feeding them, and trying to make it look like they're the victims.

Not at all. Lakers arent even close to my least favorite team

I agree with all of this except this part. I think the reason he "blocked it" was because he's ultimately responsible for the fate of that franchise. He's not going to stop other teams from making stupid trades.
