I didn't have an issue with your opinion. My issue was that you were dismissing Kenny Smith's opinion on LeBron just because he wasn't the player that LeBron is. That's hypocritical.

Funny thing is, I agree with Smith's statement. LeBron has no clutch game. He's got no 4th quarter. Though Smith in is no position to judge based on his name alone. He's a nobody.

Thats contradicting. You say you have no issue with my opinion, yet you claim that it's also hypocritical?
See where that is going? Look I don't mind if you disagree with my opinion, just stay truthful to it. Don't contradict yourself.

No, you don't get it, I called you hypocritical for saying "X is in no position to say ____" while preaching Freedom of speech at the same time. I'm going to end this now.

Uhh don't mind me interjecting here, but...
Technically you forfeit some of your freedom of speech by joining a forum.
Of course, idk exactly what is given up, but that's for the mods to do...

Kenny gave sound advice. I don't see what's so wrong in that

Also, saying "That's my opinion" is by far, the largest cop-out in debating history. As it leads to 0 argument.

You have the freedom to voice whatever opinion you wish. Those who hear it can allocate whatever credence to it they feel it warrants. That's how freedom of speech works. Both ways. All ways. It is inherently inclusive, not exclusive.

Now someone please, and by someone I do mean a mod or administrator; ban this pompous, imbecilic fool.

Not to name names (no need to) but having the right to voice your opinion doesn't mean it can't be stupid. And despite what people believe, certain logic can make an opinion "wrong".

You do not "forfeit" any freedom of speech once you've joined any forum. You're still free to use speech, it's what you say within the rules of the forum that determines whether or not the staff of the forum view it as appropriate or inappropriate within the rules of that forum. That does not mean that freedom of speech is taken away, otherwise the point of bans would be irrelevant. There must be rules, then when people break those rules through freedom of speech, bans are inforced. And on that note, all I've done in this thread is offered my opinion and stuck by it. I havent used insults, just opinions through freedom of speech.

Now, I shall be the one to end this discussion since the individual I was arguing with has gone and failed to offer any backup of his allegations.

My opinion still stands 100%.

Yes you do. By clicking on the T&S you are abiding to the rules and abandoning some of your speech. By crossing lines, you are punished. As in, you are not "free" to say that, you do get a "punishment" for it. Just like how back in the old days, you could insult the king. But you would get punished for it. Hence why it wasn't "free speech".

Oh this could turn in a whole new debate, though I shall refrain from that topic. However, I'm finding the whole "america is a great country because we have freedom of speech" call to be quite hypocritical (I use this word as it's been thrown around here quite a lot, so has opinion). Australia and the USA have a completely different personality. We run with a thing called "tongue and cheek". Americans do not work well with our personalities until they truthfully gain a general understanding of us.

So, if I am wrong for anything in this thread, it is that I havent been serious enough debating with you lot. So for that, I apologize. I should remember next time I am here, that Americans don't truthfully understand the Australian sense of humour

As you Americans would say, "oh my bad"

I'm Australian. You're an idiot

fixed it for you.

It doesn't matter how good kenny smith was as a player. It wouldn't even matter if he never played in the NBA. His advice to LeBron was good, LeBron would do well to listen to it. LeBron even tweeted his agreement with kenny smith's advice.

Its on http://www.youtube.com just type NBA TNT and filter upload date. I get what Kenny Smith is saying but in the end its either you have the mindset and mentality or you don't which only a few players have (Kobe, Durant, Rose, Wade?). Lebron to me does not have this mindset, in a game winning situation that kenny was pointing out, Lebron just likes to bulldoze his way to the paint and throw up prayer layup hopefully to get an and1 and a freethrow (Lebron while doing this, Lebron never has the mindset of making the shot and going for the kill).

LeBron has always listened to folks talking about his game. And frankly I don't think it has served to help. Back when he was driving to the basket and kicking out to the wide open shooters they said he should take that shot eventhough the shooters were making the vast majority of them. When he was taking the shot it was okay, but it also took away the unpredictablity and playmaking that he's best at. And it got into his head when they were criticizing him for missing them. So now it appears he just freezes up at the end of some games since he actually has other people that can take that shot.
