Can you imagine Nash was in these finals with the Heat now????
Even with no good Center, its a scary team.
It would be even better if he signed for the vet min. That way all other resources will be put to sign a Center.
nash would be reduced to a spot up shooter, so no that really isn't a scary team, and i don't think he wants to tarnish his career by going to the heat where he will get a lot of hate

I think Suns fans want him to retire a Sun and not try to win a championship. The play-offs however are not the same Nashless.
I hate Nashless. I love Nash. LUV Nashty.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Re: STEVE NASH predictions: Where will he / should he end up
Nash is a special player but why would the Heat organization want him? after a season of adjustments, they seem to figure out the formula on playing 2 of arguably the best players this generation has ever seen. Wade even admitted that he had a hard time deferring to Lebron but if that's the way to be effective that's what he did. Steve wants to lead a team, not play a minor role as Lebron's or Wade's shooter ala Eddie House.
Nash wants PT so I don't believe he'll be signed there to lead the bench. if he still wants to contend for a ring it'll be with a veteran winning team where he is needed.

Most Suns' fans want the best for Nash which is moving on to another team. Expect a classy Manning-Indy type separation. I think it's between Dallas and Toronto.

My money's on Toronto. They could build something real special if they get Nash and Rudy, and when they get Jonas V.

Just face it guys, you don't want him to go to Miami because Miami would be almost guaranteed to win a championship. If you're Nash, what the hell is the drawback from doing that? Oh no, it's 'too easy' you say? Well Nash isn't getting any younger, so why would he purposefully put himself in a very difficult situation (ala Indiana) or an impossible situation (Toronto)? It would serve no purpose at all. So if he wants to win, go to Miami because A) they really need another PG to replace Chalmers (who is below average) and B) They have a terrific chance to win. As much as most of you don't want to admit it, it really makes a lot of sense from where he's sitting.

Yes, so special they'd get like 6-8 seed and get bounced out of the playoffs in round one. Anyone who thinks that team is close to championship level (even with those additions) is either A) lying B) delusional.

Indiana is clearly the best fit. But I see him going to Dallas.
No way he takes the vet min.

Hes not going to Toronto. Book it.
Why would he want to go to a garbage team in his twilight years? Nash isn't going there just because he's Canadian. Thats BS.

Re: STEVE NASH predictions: Where will he / should he end up
LA could pay him more than the mini MLE, all they have to do is use the Odom TPE in a sign and trade. I have a feeling they plan on using it anyhow for sowmthing like that with a Nash or Beasley type of guy. It gives them just enough room to bring in talent after shedding Pau and Blake's deal with him inn a trade, not to mention with Ebanks and Matt expiring. Sarver being willing to sign and trade gave the Lakers a shot at bringing Nash in, well that and Cuban
A Pau for Iggy, Nash with part of the TPE , and Odom for the min or mini MLE would be a good summer.

i think nash can get a 3 year 8-10 mill deal easily, this is his last chance to cash in and its around 30 million...so why would he sign with lakers, NY, heat, bulls, or dallas...if he does decide to for some reason give up all that money the ya all those teams are possible...but imo i only see indy and toronto as strong possibilities

Bulls: Most likely if they can get a S&T Going that's favorable for Nash and nets the Suns something for the future.
Mavs: I don't see Nash hanging around until Cuban says they no longer are waiting on D WIl
Lakers: Nash hates the Lakers. They are half the reason he's still ringless.
Spurs: See above.
Indiana: Makes sense basketball wise but he has no ties there. Would have to be a hell of a sales pitch, provided Indiana is even gunning for him.
Nets: No ties, on waiting list behind D will, not a contender, proximity to NY won't matter.
Knicks: Nash is about loyalty (like how he bailed the Canadian National program after his friend/coach Triano got sacked). Amare bailed on him for money. D'antoni got canned. Melo is a prima donna that makes Marion's daddy issues seem irrelevant. Dolan wants to have babies with Jeremy Lin's dollar signs. It's his ideal location from his RL perspective but just don't see it happening for all the reasons above. Besides, Nash wouldn't want to deal with bipolar Knick fans who'd hump him one day of a win saying how he's better than MJ and then ridicule his age when they lose.
Miami: Part of the comments Nash made about not wanting to "join up for free rings" is because he identifies himself as part of the old guard of "competing" players. The salary cap is there to have parity in the league. It's one thing for a specialist to sign for tacos and fries on a contender, quite another to have a future HoF who will drastically affect the team. So in the spirit of competition, the very act of signing for 5$/hour is making the salary cap meaningless and by extension the ring as valueless. The cynical view on that would be he never really got paid big money in his entire career. I'm sure he's not aiming to get paid 200M+ like some athletes will before they finish their career, but considering all his RL philanthropic activities, signing for what the gatorade player makes is just not happening. For the comment about Nash being open to the idea of the Heat, that's about being polite while really being open about it (if somehow they can free up enough cap space to sign him to a respectable contract).
Toronto: BC managed to lure him away from Dallas (no easy feat). He did it the classy way (as mentioned by Nash's agent). Moment free agency opened he was at Nash's home at 12:01. Made it clear he was their choice, believed what he brought to the table whereas the gen pop at the time thought he was done and ridiculed phx for giving him 10m/year. BC is in his contract year, Raps will be trying to compete this year and not trying to beat the Bobcats. New canadian nat GM. Toronto will toss the kitchen sink and then some at him because their owner knows Nash will bring in more money than they'll know what to do with. For a 2/3 year contract the Raps are not gambling away anything. They'll make a run, see if they have anything they can truly build on. Legacy wise and money wise now my bet is Toronto.
Phoenix: Sarver... I rest my case.
Mavs: I don't see Nash hanging around until Cuban says they no longer are waiting on D WIl

If he wants a ring he should come to Miami for the minimum. The Bulls can't beat the Heat.

Probably because Dallas still has Dirk and actually made the playoffs. They can add Nash then Cuban can work with it and trade/add for other pieces.

Miami could give him the full MLE if they amnesty Miller and trade Chalmers to a team with capspace, or maybe even work a S&T with the Suns.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

Wait for the Finals to end first. If Nash wants a ring, he'll go to a contender. Miami, LA or Indiana would be interesting options for him. PEACE.

If Dallas doesn't get Deron, he'll either go there or Indiana.
