I don't care what anybody says, Kevin Garnett is still the best player on the Celtics. It's not Rondo, not even close.

Last season, the Heat didn't even bother to guard him from the perimeter.

I still want to see Rondo play without the presence of Pierce, Allen, and KG on the floor. Their presence gives Rondo the freedom to take gambles and stuff... I doubt he's the same player when they are gone.

So now you're going onto a different tangent than "Rondo is a cancer" but instead "Rondo sucks"
KG is the Celtics most important player that is true, no one is doubting that
You do realize the Celtics offense doesn't fit Rondo's strengths? I'd like to see Rondo in a situation where he can actually run and play fast paced. I doubt hes the same player
Keep hating on Rondo though

What does KG still being the best have to do with Rondo being a beast? You'd think a Heat fan of all teams would realize this after he played well against you guys in the playoffs.

^ Bah you could say that about any team. LeBron and Wade didn't look so hot against us once Bosh got hurt either. The truth is the more good players you have the better your team. KG and PP didn't do so great either when they have their own franchises with a bunch of **** teammates. Deron Williams didn't lookss o hot last year or Kobe when he didn't have anything around him.

You do have a point.

Rondo isn't a cancer but he's one of the most overrated players in the league.

But he's CANCEROUS.

Thank god that not everyone is swayed by his stat padding and we'll never see him suit up for Team USA (would be a HUGE embarrassment for the nation if he did).

If you win a championship while leading your team in assists, you are officially not a cancer, end of story. His team would probably be better if he was a better and more agreeable teammate, but his on the court play is more than enough to make up for it, evidenced by his ability to win a title as a key contributor. Cancer's are people who cause join a title or contending team and change them to be 2nd round exits every year.

It's funny that people defend someone who's known around the league as an "arrogant, unpleasant, somewhat childish and confrontational guy" when he plays for their team, but then talk down on another guy with a reputation that's not even close to being as bad just because he plays for another team.

Rondo's personality is his gift and his curse. He wouldn't be where he's at if he didn't have that chip on his shoulder. It's the underdog syndrome....he still feels like the world is against him while in reality he's been accepted as one of the better players in the NBA. But I think he wants to be regarded as the best PG in the league...and team USA time always reminds him that he's not. It's all on him though...he just needs to get in the gym and work on his jumper.

so going to game 7 in conference finals tied at end of 3 with 3 of the teams players on IR is not going so well. like 27 other teams are wishing to fail that bad.

You know if he was as big of a cancer that some of you were making him out to be, he would have gone the Jimmy Jackson route.

i'm not a celtics fan (in fact i quite dislike them) nor do i hate the heat. but calling rondo overrated is ridiculous. and did i read someone insulting his defense? that's pretty much the definition of irony. rondo's one of the top pg's in the league, no question, and saying stuff like he's a stat padder just reveals a complete lack of basketball understanding.

Rondo is a diva and overrated as hell, he luckily got surrounded by three hof players otherwise, I doubt he's still in the league
