Please do. That'll be another open playoff spot for the Raptors.

One can only hope. Houston needs to just overpay, and end the Dwightmare so the league can move on!

Houston was not even overpaying in my opinion.
The price that the Magic was (supposedly) asking for Howard was fair but Houston low-balled them because Howard might not extend with them.

Lol only thing that is "fair" is what people are willing to pay i can say the Car im selling is worth 100k but if no one wants to pay me more then 1.5k then what is the car really worth?

I'm not crucifying him at all - I'm saying I don't think this would happen in the first place. The requirement to convince a doctor that there is something wrong when his examinations suggest otherwise is just one flaw in the plan. Beyond that, there would be the loss of earnings, there would be the irreparable damage to his reputation, and there's the fact that despite his behavior of the last 8 months, I don't believe Dwight is unprofessional enough to pull something like that.

what loss of earning if he is hurt he is getting paid no matter what...

Lol Magic are getting there just desert its what they get for holding this guy hostage not just 1 off season but 2

And as a Laker fan im loving this now people will stop trying to trade this guy to the Lakers and instead we get to keep Bynum

Do you even know what you're saying? How can the Magic be holding him hostage, when he opted in? Explain or just stop talking all together.

How so ?

He's lucky he has gotten this far with his crappy fundamentals and now the lack of perspective. It's unfortunate that guys like Grant Hill lost out on HOF careers but this moron, who doesn't even care about winning, has gotten this far.

Should of been much better player and wasting a prime year...

Exactly.

Any superstar who is willing to sit out a year in his prime just to spite a team is just downright pathetic.

and people were laughing when Kobe wanted him to be a 2nd/3rd option.

This guy is taking his clown antics on the court to off the court, nice.

Dwight Howard is the biggest drama queen ever in the history of NBA and any kind of sports related.

He's like a 14 year old girl trapped in a 7 foot mans body.

Don't ask questions. It is much easier to hate him.

People forget that the Magic have proven themselves to be an incompetent organization but somehow all the blame gets thrown at Howard when all signs point to him being true to his word(the ones he has actually spoken not the ones rumored to be his) and not wanting to leave Orlando.

I honestly believe what happened last year was the Magic ownership and management begged Dwight to opt in so they could get a better deal but they promised him they would trade him to the team he wanted which was the Nets. He only agreed to do this because he didn't want to be seen as some kind of evil prima donna like Lebron by giving his old team some real assets. But he'd still get to the team he wanted to go to.

I hope he does and the Magic get nothing for it; I'm tired of terrible teams that ought to be contracted diluting the quality of play in the league. I don't care where he ends up, just send him to a team that actually matters.

The one thing saving Howard is that all of this reports are second hand. He hasn't been quoted saying of this crap yet, they are all just rumors.

With LeBron, we all heard everything from the horses mouth. The average casual fan is not following Woj's 'twitter to learn about Dwight's motives. Which is why this whole thing hasn't blown up yet like The 2010 off season.

I don't see Dwight sitting out if he is traded to LA, but i do see him sitting out the season is he is in Orlando or Houston.

Remember, he said that this decision is all about what God wants...not what he does personally.

If he sits out the year and becomes a missionary, thats one thing...but if he just sits because hes not traded and doesn't want to play for Orlando, then hes getting the wrong advice from the man upstairs.

lol are you trying to look like an ignorant douche? The magic have been a top east team for the past 5 years and made the finals and conference finals, winning the division 3 of the past 5 years, 50 win seasons every year.
