Yeah, for some reason he was one of the top guys I looked up to when I first started playing basketball. Not Kobe, not MJ, but Steve Francis lol.

If you just get drunk all day everyday, you could end up looking like that. Doesn't have to be any illegal stuff, I just think he has a drinking problem, which got worse once he got to the NYC life. Addicts tend to drink more when things aren't going well and the train wreck that was Isiah's Knicks was his last straw.

He does have Meniere's disease, which is the reason for the migraine's but I don't know if it effects facial features or anything like that.

Yeah, he had some big games against Stockton when Stockton was 38-40. On a career level Stockton is eons ahead of Francis, who was an overrated player during a time when the league sucked. Actually, he never made an all NBA team in his career so he wasn't even rated all that high.

I remember having one of those mini posters of Steve Francis from Slam magazine up on my wall back when he was still at Maryland. I was hopeful the Bulls would have the chance to draft him that next summer. Ultimately they had that chance, but went another direction.

I have no idea how far down this path to destruction he is, but I hope he still has the chance to get it turned around. Very sad.

If it is confirmed drugs then I think it is hilarious and entertaining. He is an adult and chose that path and I think he looks dam awful but it was entertaining. I don't think anyone honestly would disagree with me.
