She's gorgeous! Good for them!

I can't imagine marrying someone after just graduating in HS tho. Gotta fulfill all my goals and dreams in life first before marrying someone or starting a family. Just think of all the fun stuff you're going to miss, college, traveling alone, dating etc.

Putting my self in her place tho. What if a famous, rich and good looking celebrity propose to me like Scar Jo let say, after just graduating high school. I don't think I'm gonna be able to say no too

Man, every time a girl becomes a subject half of the people in a RealGM thread assume the personality of a Justin Bieber internet fan, i.e., they attack those who don't conform to their taste in a sad and pathetic way.

People have different tastes.

If someone doesn't like her, we don't need the .jpeg of the guy with acne saying 6/10, would not bang. I think the fat guy with acne has the right to his opinion. The fat guy does not have to worship everyone you consider better than him, and that fat guy could be really intelligent or have other merits. I always get the fat guy with acne thrown at me if I make the mistake of being on a RealGM Kardashian thread and saying I don't find them attractive. Naturally, people who disagree with your tastes are fat, and there is no one who disagrees that could possibly be generally more attractive or better in anyway than that girl you like.

There's also no need to tell the world how you think a certain girl isn't worth marrying. I'm sure Hayward is capable of making his own determination. If she is super ugly and Hayward finds her super hot, it's none of your business. I don't find her attractive at all (inc. fat acne gif), but I don't think my own opinion on the matter is going to be something Hayward will regret not hearing.

So either he is marrying a chick after 6 months or he was dating a girl that was in high school. An NBA player dating a high school girl is odd. So I am assuming he has been dating her for a very short time. Which makes this dumb no matter how you feel about marriage. It takes longer than 6 months to know someone. Not to mention between 18-24 girls change significantly. Completely different people

I think a lot of the time it does take a while to really get to know someone, but I know plenty of couple who knew each other less than three months (one a week) that got engaged and have been together for 30+ years.

I know they are from Indiana, but in Utah it's really not all that uncommon for girls to get engaged within 6 months of graduating. Maybe not the norm, but common enough to not be a big deal. It's been that way for years, without a compelling amount of data that it is inherently bad for the marriage.

I'm sure they'll have their ups-and-downs like everybody else, but I expect there is a good chance they will have a long, happy marriage.

As for the age difference, it's not a big deal. My wife is 4 years older than me, but she doesn't look it and people are always surprised to find out.

1. i agree with 5 years isnt a big deal but you have to wait until they touch their twenties thats when it doesnt matter and 2. Yes he couldve done better and yes its not all about being a bad bxtch but that being a recipe for child support is wrong do what Bosh did get a bad bxtch and prenup that ho! :lol

Probably for similar reasons as normal people. Also, not everyone wants to be a player for life and not be responsible to anyone or go out partying and having sex parties, there isn't one professional athlete mentality, people are still individuals with different wants and desires. If that's what he wants then good for him to choose to be responsible to someone else.

Also in terms of age, nothing wrong with it. The only issue could be for him if she isn't as mature as him, but a 4-5 year difference really isn't a big deal after a certain age. A 25 year old marrying a 20 year old isn't something odd.

A few times I asked why ANYONE would get married.....

A couple nights ago I was dancing with a girl who'd just turned 21...and I'm WAY older than Hayward. Marraige never came up.

It isn't odd, but personally I feel like everyone goes through a big change in character and outlook on life from ~18-23, and then again in another 3-5 years, becoming quite different people (at least in things effecting life decisions, like changing thoughts on career, changing your mind about things you care about the most) and perhaps with completely different tastes. And it's also impossible to predict. The world is a big place and it's pretty hard to be totally sure what you will be satisfied with when your experience is so limited.

I'm not saying it's weird/wrong but I'd be very, very cautious if I were either of them. A lot of people who "strike out" on marrying their loved one decide they were glad they missed out/got rejected, given 5 years.
