I loved watching Gasol take a cheap shot at Giannis at the end of the play.

Dunleavy took 3 cheap shots this game worse than anything the bucks did the entire series by far. Not sure what else there is to say. 3 neck/head shots in one game, no referee action.

Obviously that's not true, because the worst play was the one by Giannis.

That happened early in the game right before Giannis eyes. The refs missed it, MCW went to the locker room and the bucks lost their rythme and the game.

Right before Giannis lose his mind Dunleavy hit him in the throat also.

Giannis was wrong to smash Dunleavy but that doesn't prove that he is a dirty player. He was pissed at the moment at Dunleavy and the way the game was going and lost his mind but didn't try to hide his hit or hit him in the face, groin.

Dunleavy has proven that he is dirty player though. A great one since he is doing in a sneaky way...

Was that play reviewed?

Nowp, no foul or review. Happened in the first min of the game. MCW had to go to the locker room and Dunleavy went off for 19 points in the first half. Game could have def be different if Dunleavy was ejected then

The NBA should be stricter for these kinds of plays. Just because your team is losing 30+ points, doesn't mean you can empty your frustration on the opposing players. Giannis is frustrated because he got exposed in the playoffs.

KO got 1 game AND Love will be out for 4 months. JR smith got 2 games after a brutal punch.

I don't think NBA worries that much about this issue. But I agree with you. They will have to act at some point. Its very easy to hurt someone after losing a playoff series And get away with nothing.

Does Zaza still play for the Bucks? Because if he does, Kidd should have had him respond before MCW or Gianis.

Woww.. here comes the victim blaming. SMDH. I'm guessing that girl that got raped is also at fault for wearing a skirt that was too short?

This is the same as the JR foul, instead of just admitting it was a cheap shot you get" well, the other guys was playing chippy the whole game." If that's the case then why don't you play chippy back instead of taking a cheap shot hard foul that costs you team also? Fans have a warped perspective on this board.

It was right in front of Giannis but he didn't even see it lol.

Though down by 30 in an elimination game in a very physical series, I could see why Giannis reacted that way, just the wrong way to go about it.

Idiotic to compare Olynik to the other two, it amazes me that delusional fans still believe he was trying to put him in the hospital by hooking his arm. The only reason Olynik was suspended one game was because of fans like you who were crying for him to be banned from basketball.

Maybe by the refs reaction, but contact wise the Giannis play is peanuts compared to the shot on MCW at the start of the game. That's a shot comparable to the jr smith one on crowder, MCW just didn't get knocked out by it.

Like i said before, what makes the Giannis play bad was that he beelined for dunleavy and sought him out, not the contact which isn't really bad at all. Not condoning what Giannis did, but the refs blew it badly. Dunleavy could have easily been ejected 1 min into the game for that shot, if that happens then none of the other BS occurs and the teams can play basketball. Hell, if they just call the shooting foul there things likely dont get out of hand. But they didn't. Refs lost control of the game by not properly regulating the cheap shots.

mike dunleavy obviously objectively sucks but you are out of your mind if you think the mcw play is anywhere in the neighborhood of j.r. smith/crowder

Open question to the whole board: How many games should Dunleavy be suspended for?

it was a dirty play by dun, its was a dirty play by giannis and it was a physical series. Neither play was as bad as what JR did and lol for any who say so.

There was a play in game 5 (i think) where zaza basically lowered his shoulder into dunleavys chest, there was no doubt watching the replay of what zaza's intent was. And thats just one example of the tone that was set by both teams. imo a big reason the Bucks won game 4 and 5 is due to them being more physical then Chicago.

But im glad it was a true playoff series, i hate seeing all these current nba players play buddy buddy with each other. hats off to the bucks for bringing some terrific defense throughout.

This is the entire problem with these types of conversations: Lowering your shoulder into someone's chest is a basketball play or common foul (unless you are playing with your 4-year old niece). Dunleavy Karate chopped MCW in the throat, while he was shooting, and there was no call. Later in the game, Dunleavy hit MCW around his throat. Those aren't the same thing at all.
