The Bulls board is great imo. Very active (though not as active as the raps or knicks board) and alot of knowledgeable posters in there which lead to alot of good discussions.

Bulls game-threads are pretty awesome, especially when they play ORL. I think it's because the games were so tight this past season.

Any opposing board my team just beat and they didn't expect to lose just to watch and read them go into crisis mode

Only go to other boards to see what fans think of certain players or events

Knicks board. You can find anything there. From TV series, health/fitness topics, bootays, pornstars. EVERYTHING. Even a guy having trouble with his girl has its own thread there.

The view is a little different from your high horse, eh? I mean the Spurs are a great org. with very little fan presence here. So it gives you such tingles to sit up high and throw stones. Ah must feel good.

I love how you cherry pick too.. good times.

Good point. His post should have said "every day dozens of lakers fan don't propose trading Clarkson for Cousins" That would have been better.

But by the same token, I feel like you're cherry picking this guys post to respond to spurs fans in general. You should have written "most spurs fans don't throw stones at the lakers".

But now, here I am, cherry picking your post, instead of writing about all the lakers fans who don't think there's a rule against pointing out hilarious examples of homerism. This not cherry picking stuff sure is tough...

Sammy and I have some discussion history so it's all in fun. That being said there is a vast difference in fan presence on RGM with Laker and Spur fans. If you can't decipher that and feel the need to take on low hanging fruit, than ok. I just expect smart guys, like Sammy to not take the bait on the looking for the lowest of hanging fruit. Something a lot of posters from ALL fan bases should do.

I think you're giving me too much credit. The low-hanging fruit is usually the only fruit I can reach!

Raptors, Knicks and Bucks. Raps and Knicks are the most entertaining but I like the Bucks forum because of their team and its active.

Chicago's. Nothing better than reading about how good they feel they're gonna be next season, and how good they think drose is gonna be next season.

The extravagant unjustified media hype, along with their mass amount of obnoxious fans have really made me hate that team.

You can hate us too, it doesn't bother me, I know we have awful fans.

But I personally have not said anything crazy about the Raptors, you can check all my posts if you would like.

Well, I just expect posters to avoid throwing ridiculous criticisms like "cherry picking" as though we conducting some sort of statistical analysis of lakers fans. But I'm learning to deal with disappointment...

I lurk on Lakers board, too, and if Sammy was really looking to pick low-hanging cherries, he could have pointed out 2 things:

1) The hitherto mass delusion in Laker-land of it's desirability in free agency
2) The attitudes in Laker-land about Kobe (versus, say, everywhere else)

Even the best Lakers posters had #1 sickness until very recently, with #2 sickness lessening less recently. And go look at the Lakers' board and look for a post that's even mildly critical of their front office. Start a thread about such, with a link from reputable sources, but if you aren't wearing the Lakers color you may get a mod coming down on you. Or, even better, complete silence, (shadowbanned?) while a parallel thread about the exact same topic, started later by someone wearing the right colors, gets 20-30 pages. It makes the Lakers board much less interesting, frankly, and it's a shame.

Bucks board is great and funny. The way they hated on Brandon Knight, and MCW in the weeks following the trade, was the most entertaining thing I have seen on these boards. That, and the thread about best current TV series is worth it.

Heat board is on another level of participation with same passion. I actually learn more about the game lurking here. The hate on Chalmers, Norris, or some random guy on a 10-day contract is pretty funny, too.

And since I said some critical things in this post about other boards, I will mention a board that has become somwhat alien to me: the Sixers board. Even though (most of) the mods and old timers are pretty cool about wanting the team to at least try to win some games now, the guys that think that the team should tank again to, say, increase the liklihood of getting the Lakers pick next year (that is, finish worse than LA so they are less likely to get top 3, which is protected)...those fans are unbearable to me. Anyone that jumps on another poster who is, say, quite old and wants to see a Sixer team that they can be proud of...is unbearable to me. Any attacks on posts critical of Hinkie, even if it's critical about one compartmentalized aspect of Hinkie's system (i.e. his ability to evaluate talent at the margin, versus, say, his obvious virtuoso ability to swing deals for picks and such)...are unbearable to me.

TLDR: Boards that allow lots of criticism of the teams are more interesting. If it's the same old critiques like a broken record ("Kobe is a selfish ****!", "Sixers are disgracing the game!"), then there is an element of truth to it. This is entertainment, after all. Fans are empowered to judge the product, and judge as harshly as they deem fit, granted that it's not racist or some stupid, degenerate ****.

I love the Knicks board. Nothing like reading the post-game threads after an epic loss!

I also think it's the only team board that deserves its own off-topic subforum

I don't have anything to add to your board discussion, but I am actually surprised/mildy disappointed the Spurs board isn't more active (of course it is the off season). I seem to bump into a surprising amount of Spurs fans around where I live (Pittsburgh doesn't have any loyalties as far as basketball goes - closest cities are fairly well hated in sports due to NFL/NHL/MLB). I should tell them all to sign up for RealGM, but then I might out myself on one of the few remaining accounts that people don't know about IRL.

Ha ha... yeah, it's disappointing to me, too. There are a handful of good posters on the Spurs board, but it's definitely not very active. To tell the truth, I actually forget to even go there most of the time, since the GB is where all the action is.

I have to make myself post on the gameday boards there, just because I feel guilty if I post on the GB gamedays but not the Spurs gamedays. Ha ha.

I remember going in your forum at the height of the LA signing and the potential West acquisition.

All I heard were crickets. For such an accomplished team, it's puzzling that the fan base is really thin.

Back to topic, it's Bulls, Knicks, Hornets, Heat for me.
