Harden already knows he lost it once Westy surpassed Oscar he's not stupid. Dude has had back to back MONSTER years and just keeps getting beat out by 1 other guy who makes history that year lol..sux but i commend him for focusing last summer and skipping team usa to really focus on his game and gun for the award. I think its safe to say he way the concencus MVP right up untill late march/early april. This series is going to come down to if Adams/Kanter can exploit Capella/Harrell imo since Westy/Harden will cannibilize eachothers output . OKC CANT fall into HOU 3 ball run and gun pace because they will never hang with them trying to beat them at their own game. They have to take a Grizzlies approach and really rough up/slow down the game and make Houston beat them inside possession by posession because theres no way Oladipo/Roberson/Grant will suddenly become knock down shooters.

I picked rockets in 7 but this series could easily turn into an upset.

I mean, nothing during his suns days really supports that... they easily could've been in the finals in 07 if not for horry's antics

Winning the finals is literally the only way to have playoff success to some people

The only series from West worth to watch. My pick go for Thunder upsetting Rockets, I like rooting for underdogs.

How many games will the average fan watch until they can't take watching Harden play basketball anymore?

Can Westbrook and the Thunder pull off some Cinderella **it? I think so. I think OKC's bigs are being overlooked. They were one of the main reasons thunder were up 3-1 to the GSW. I got OKC in this one.

The only way the Thunder win the series is if they absolutely crush the Rockets on the offensive boards, which is possible

Beverley will make Westbrook pay for crashing the glass. He's a 40% 3 pt shooter.

On the otherhand, while Roberson can guard Harden, he has no offense so Harden doesn't even have to worry about him.

I think most OKC fans, myself included, know our bigs can be the difference makers. But, like me, most OKC fans have been watching the trainwreck that is Steven Adams for the last 2-3 months. He's been horrendous defensively and has been pretty much the same heavily limited, Westbrook-reliant offensive player as he was pre-ASB and last season. Kanter is still Kanter: capable of going for 24 and 10 off the bench but also still just as terrible defensively as ever. Get Kanter involved in a P-n-R on defense, and it's lights out for the opposing offense. Sabonis has had extreme highs and extreme lows this year; the lows heavily outnumber the highs.

Gibson has been the only reliable, consistent two-way big the last two months but our moron coach plays him only 21 MPG.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Rockets in 4 unless Adams goes off.
