To me it seems the secret to beating Golden State is to add more all NBA players to your team. Having 4 to 5 would be good.

The Cavs actually beat them last year and did it going small.

The only thing the Cavs need to do to beat them again is get better. That's easier said than done, but get PG and we'll be talking.

1. They didn't have Durant

2. The likelihood of Curry, Igoudala, and the starting center all nursing serious injuries and Draymond getting suspended is pretty low

There's a sizeable gap between them and the Cavs and it will only get larger with several of Cleveland's key players in/approaching their mid 30's.

If you want talk injuries, then the Cavs easily beat them the year before.

Either way, my point is that the Warriors like to go small - but LeBron is the best small ball player, and the best player, in the NBA. The Cavs do need to upgrade to offset Durant, but if they get PG or Butler, then I would bet on the Cavs next year.

if it's as simple as "size" and 3 and D guys can't almost any team w a legit big make a run at them if they're constructed as such? just prioritize those 3D players in FA and the draft and add them to teams such as DEN (Jokic), PHI (Embiid), NOP (DMC/AD), UTAH (Gobert), NYK (Porzingis), etc etc. Teams like that can be built in a year or two. It has to be more than that doesn't it?
